Patti and Dave were very responsive and attentive from our reservation request to receiving keys. They have a very well organized handout on the area and showed us everything we needed to know. The central location in K-Town along with the secure parking spot worked out perfectly for our plans. While apartment is on a busy street, it's actually quite peaceful in the later evening. We slept like babies in the pictured futon. I would recommend staying here especially if you're interested in staying in Koreatown.
Patti was very flexible and responded to my questions very promptly.
House was nice. Spacey and bed was comfortable. Gated parking and the location (Middle of K Town and easy access to the Metro station) were a huge plus.
Only downside was I could not find the aircon ( cold at night) and she did not have a hairdryer.
I would definitely come back!
We do have two thermostats — one in the living room and one in the bed room. Both are visible and fully functional. We have both air conditioning and heating. We do not have a hairdryer.
Stayed ** Sat 8/23 - Sun 8/24 **
Host - Patti was awesome. Super attentive, responded promptly to all messages, offered us comprehensive PDFs describing the neighborhood, check-in process, and building. Lots of pictures, super helpful.
Description - Spot-on. The furniture has been rearranged from what's seen in the listing photos, but it has the same vibe. Apartment itself definitely has some rougher finishes (bathroom sink, moulding between living room and kitchen, public spaces), but these didn't detract from our stay at all. The guitar was in even in tune!
'Hood - Koreatown was awesome. Our drive in made me a little skeptical, but I was able to leave the car in the (secure, gated!) parking garage the whole time and just walk around! Building tenants were friendly, neighborhood itself had tons of great cafés, trendy restaurant spots, and little nuggets of cool architecture. Oh, and if you haven't been to a city driving range before, I highly recommend the Aroma Sports range that's walking distance, super safe (0.4 miles) from the apartment. Quad-level range wut wut!? Mr. Pizza (a Korean chain) was also really cool. Crust stuffed with sweet potato? Whoa. Check out BrewWell, too... it's a little longer of a walk, but is a gem of a café.
If we're back in LA (which really
We reached out to Patti and David to book their wonderful apartment the day before we arrived for the weekend and they were able to confirm and give detailed instructions in time for our arrival.
When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find that the apartment exceeded our expectations! It's in a great location with easy access to convenience stores and public transit.
The apartment was very clean and Patti and David provided fresh sheets and towels. The apartment accommodated the 3 of us easily and would have even accommodated 4. We would happily stay here again.
We really enjoy in patty´s place, is very cosy, the area is amazing , if you want to know the normal live in a big city and enjoy in a pocket place. You must check the conexions to go there, but is very easy to get it, we have been very happy there, we felt like at home. thanks patty for everything.
patti was very accommodating and it was very easy to gain access to the apartment. it was in a pretty good area, during the day, there was no unease about walking around during the day, going to the Portuguese supermarket or café. the place was very quaint, all the appliances worked and the shower had nice water pressure. little overpriced on the downside.
Patti's place was exactly as I expected it. The Ironbound area was lovely, and had amazingly delicious food to eat. Patti was a great host, always helpful and made sure that we enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend this place to other people.
Patti's apartment is perfect for a stay in Newark, close to a main shopping strip and an easy walk to Penn Station and The Prudential Center, the apartment is spacious and it was a pleasure to stay there!
Patti herself is incredibly friendly and incredibly helpful, once again Patti, thank you for letting us stay!
Patti's Place was my 1st stay using the (website hidden) website and boy did I luck up with a wonderful little place! The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures & Patti as a host is so nice and welcoming she was very easy to get in contact with & she made sure that my friend and I were as comfortable as possible. Obtaining the key was easy, the neighborhood is very cute, & after settling in you feel at home. I would not hesitate to book with Patti again she truly made my stay a great one!
Patti's place was just as it was described. It was very easy to get the keys from her, and we had a wonderful stay. Just like the other reviews say, Patti leaves a wonderful welcome kit for any guests, including maps of NYC and Ironbound. The neighborhood itself was very quaint and Ferry St. was a great place to explore.
Great guest! Easy communication. Left the place impeccable! Patti, you are welcome any time!
Although not having a chance to meet Patti in person due to conflicting schedules there was amazing communication and the place was left in great shape. Would recommend her as a perfect air Bnb guests.
Grace decided to stay an extra couple of days after her sister left and it was our continued pleasure to host her. She was sincerely friendly, really neat and respectful of our belongings. We really hope we can see her again on a subsequent visit to Toronto!
It was a delight to host Patti and her sister Grace in our home in Toronto! They were both very easygoing, polite and respectful of our place. We were glad to have Grace stay a few days longer and enjoy the city. We would welcome them back any time!
