Wonderful sunset overlooking the water and the ferries as well as meeting a welcome hostess and learning about the community. Perfect! Thank you, Meredith!
This was my first airbnb experience and I hope that any others I have will be able to compare. Meredith's place looks exactly like the pictures and she is as wonderful as all other reviewers describe. I had a wonderful one-night stay and look forward to stays that can compare.
Meredith welcomed us and made us very, very comfortable. Her home is lovely and the views out to the Sound are incredible. Our family of four with small dog was completely at home - My husband and I had the bedroom and our two daughters shared the futon couch in the tv room. I am a light sleeper and heard the train at night, but it was not disruptive. The hot oatmeal in the morning and moroccan lentil soup in the evening were both delicious. If possible, I hope to return. Thank you, Meredith.
Our stay with Meredith was amazing. Her location is perfect! It was so gorgeous and relaxing. Watching a beautiful sunset before going to bed and waking up to a picturesque setting in the morning is my kind of place. Meredith is very warm and friendly and also very considerate. She even let us use her canoe and offered her bikes to us. We had the house to ourselves during the day and she allowed us to use the kitchen and her refrigerator for storing our food. Although we didn't get to spend much time with her during our stay, when we arrived she was very kind and told us all about the area and interesting facts about McNeil Island. I would highly recommend her place to anyone wanting to visit Steilacoom.
Hi: Meredith was a wonderful host. Although we were only there in her home for 1 night's stay, we enjoyed it.
She gives you all the privacy you want or if you want to chat, that's fine too.
You have a beautiful view of the water and the ferries coming and going.
We would certainly stay in her home again.

Meredith is one of the most kind hearted and generous people I have ever met. Upon my arrival to her beautiful beautiful home, I was invited to have dinner on her deck with her friends, and I felt so comfortable sharing with her my stories. Her home is located next to the farmers market and concert, which I tagged along to attend. It was just wonderful. I will definitely never forget my experience there. If you're thinking about visiting the nearby area, you will be ecstatic you chose her place :)
Staying with Meredith was like staying with your mum. She is a caring, warm person and welcomed us with homemade chowder and gave us fresh waffles for breakfast. We come from different cultures but she was very open and welcoming. We enjoyed our (too short) time immensely. The room is very comfortable and the house has beautiful views over the water. Meredith's stories of life in Alaska were fascinating. Many thanks Meredith, you're lovely!
Meredith was an amaazzzingggg host. She went above and beyond for us. She was so generous with her space. She is probably one of the bests hosts on this site.
Thank you Meredith
Staying with Meredith in Steilacoom was an amazing experience. I had the entire downstairs space to myself completed with a private balcony. I woke up to a stunning harbor view every morning and retired after a gorgeous sunset every evening. Meredith is a warm, kind, and attentive host. She welcomed me to her home and made me felt like a member of the family. If your travel takes you to this part of the world, I highly recommend Meredith’s place. And you must stay a few days here to explore this historic and charming town.
Thanks to Meredith for letting us use the entire home for the week of our daughter's college graduation. We weren't "home" much but it was a quiet, comfortable respite in a beautiful setting. I have to give a big shout out to Sarah and her crew at The Bair Bistro and Cafe ( a historic landmark in Steilacoom) ~ a short walk up the street from Meredith's home and well worth it in every way possible ~ great food and coffee and you might just make a friend, it's a great spot !!
Meredith is a great guest to host. She is totally self-sufficient and easygoing plus she is really sweet, warm, friendly, kind-hearted and generous. I was a little sad to see her go! She is such a sweetheart. Anyone would be happy to have her in their home.
