Double room or Family room would you like?
How many people ?
Good experience over all. Room is clean and staff is friendly. Convenient travel as it's right above TST subway.
is a central place, we found all it is a clean room, no noise, well rested, made the return of the warranty time, there is always a Abiding by person, would return to stay at this place, thanks
I stayed at Iguest Hostel last week, I'd like to let you know if you're carrying a big luggage and hoping that the room is spacious, then this is not for you. But if you're a traveler who spents time in the room only for shower and sleeping, and carrying cabin luggage or backpacks, then this is definitely for you! Greatest location, 3 mins access to MTR Tsim Sha Tsui, 5 mins to the closest McDonald's. The hot shower are working perfectly, the bed is good enough for us to rest a few hours per day, because I bet you don't want to spend all the time in the room. The host is very friendly as well. As for the building, it may seems dodgy but you will feel differently when you enter the unit. It's comfy and clean! Enjoy your stay here, hope my review'll help you out!
This is about as basic as it gets - a shoe box. I don't want to be unkind because doubtless it is all one can get for that price in Hong Kong and it serves a purpose but I wouldn't stay there more than one night. The room I was given overlooks a an internal concrete space between high rise blocks literally filled with garbage. One other room on offer (more expensive room) has no window at all. The loo and the shower have no separator so imagine a slightly larger than average shower unit with a toilet within it and a basin! Very basic. The bed had a thin plastic wrapped mattress that made sleeping on it uncomfortable; and the TV installed, it would seem to tick a box for advertising purposes to make it - on a paper at least- seem slightly more tolerable than it is in terms of comfort, didn't work. I stayed to catch an early flight the following morning and for that it served its purpose. The hostel sits on top of one of Hong Kong's (Kowloon's to be exact) many warrens of little down market shops and is very close to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR. Staff were polite and helpful, despite its shortcomings, and helped (you need it) guide me from the MTR to the block within which the hostel resides. One positive worth noting is they don't take a deposit which is hugely helpful when travelling on a budget. When a deposit is taken - in case you're new to it - it can take 10 days to recover it, assuming no deductions have been made.
Small but convenient n clean.
So of course I read the reviews but I think people have been too easy going on this place. The building is not just sketchy it's borderline dangerous. You will be solicited for anything. I would say it is an experience of how real residents live but I am lead to believe this is very much the exception! Nor can you say it is cheap! I am currently staying in an amazing double bedded room in central Seoul for 20 euro a night. The resident staffer is helpful when you can get hold of her. I has to wait an hour in the baking heat before I get hold of them. Also when I wanted to check out and get my 100 HKD deposit back they were nowhere to be seen despite me saying the time. Again after ringing it was not possible to get hold of them. I was in a rush so just had to leave.
The room itself is tiny but fine. Internet is fast and air con sufficient . I stayed in some pretty unsanitary places before it is not like I am a novice but this place was genuinely unsafe to stay. If you are by yourself or with kids seriously do not book. For the traveller looking for cheap price ask yourself is it worth what you are paying. There is a holiday inn down the road which you could get a room for not much more if in advance.
Overall a disappointing experience. Kind of wish people's reviews were more realistic and not sugar coated.
This very new hostel is on a good location, close to the metro. We had some difficulty in finding because it's located in a big building and a sign on the door was still missing. The building is typically Hong Kong but dirty. The rooms (and beds) are very small, (6 m2) but clean. There is hardly any place to put your bags. Owner and staff were friendly.
