The Butterfly Bungalow was the perfect place for two Moms celebrating Mom's Weekend at the U of I! It's quiet and cozy and in a nice, safe neighborhood. Our host, Lisa, could not have been more helpful. It was our last Mom's Weekend so it was a little bittersweet, but the listing was as described and the beds were comfy!

The "Butterfly Bungalow" possesses this large log cabin feel where once inside the sense of being comfortably cocooned in the middle of wilderness slowly envelops. Then, the candle-lit lounge room insistently beckons the first chapter of a grand novel about the frontier ... or maybe this just happens when (twice) checking in after midnight... but I digress ...
Lisa is an organized, personable host, the guest room has lots of interesting books and the "wilderness" is a leafy, quiet neighbourhood ideal for a break from a busy conference.
Ron- You get the award for one of my funniest reviews and guests. And we didn't even meet. Glad you enjoyed your stay!!
What a sweet bungalow! I had a very nice stay, all amenities were provided, including a very comfortable bed!
So happy you enjoyed your stay and hope you sold lots of honey!
Great choice. The house is ok, located on the main busline towards downtown (to the east) and close a commercial area (to the West).
Lisa and her family are great.
Lisa is the greatest! Her house is cute, comfortable and in a nice neighborhood. My room had a small desk that I used for homework. The bed was very comfortable. Annie (the resident dog) was comforting and fun to play with. The area was great for my short morning run. Appreciated the AC in the house afterwards :)
We had a great time at Lisa's. She made a fantastic summer squash and zucchini quiche for breakfast, as well as pour-over coffee. My favorite part about staying at the Butterfly was her dog, Annie, a stout little Corgi who made us feel right at home.
I could not have stayed at a more perfect place. I was so comfortable which was so important because I was there taking a big exam that I was nervous about. I passed!! And I know the comfort of the butterfly bungalow and Lisa had something to do with that! Will definitely stay here again!!!
Wonderful first Airbnb stay. Lovely, quiet setting.
Lisa's house was cute and very nicely furnished, and she left us nice homemade snacks. Thanks!
Lisa was the BEST! I only hope you have the pleasure of having her stay at your place. She is welcome anytime.
5 Star Guests - Lisa & her friend, Kim, were WONDERFUL GUESTS and extremely easy to host! When we greeted them, they were very kind and appreciative. Both are great conversationalists and bicycle enthusiasts. Lisa communicated their plans with us before and during their stay and also were very respectful of our home and belongings. They also left our home EXTREMELY clean. I would highly recommend Lisa's home in Champaign, IL to any hosts, and welcome her and her friends back any time! Sincerely, Dee & Mike Lazio (~ Home in Davenport, IA ~)
