Came to Austin with a group of 6 people for SXSW, and had a nice stay. It's a typical little Austin house, all wood on a big lot. (There's another house in back, but we didn't hear a peep from them.) Overall, the place was clean, super quiet, and very convenient for SXSW. We could walk to all the action within 10-15 minutes. Rachel was out of town, but Matthew helped us out and was very accommodating, particularly with our check-in and check-out times and in terms of getting enough bedding/linens for everyone. The internet was fast and reliable, there was a huge TV (although we didn't use it), and they even gave us some free pastries and beers for the stay. Would definitely recommend this spot.
We loved our stay at Rachel's house during SXSW Interactive. Our host was very friendly and took the extra step of providing us with beer and some food, along with some special gifts. Our group couldn't have asked for a better first-time AirBNB experience. We especially loved the backyard deck to relax on after the long days at South By! Thanks to Rachel and her housemates!
This was my first Airbnb rental and I was very impressed. They cleaned the house thoroughly, bought us local beer(!) and took care of every detail.
Rachel and her friend Sydney stayed with me for just one night. they were delightful young women who had a great interest in the local environment. i would not hesitate to accept them as guests again and to recommend them to any future hosts. They were quiet and respectful and interested in the world around them.
She is so cute and lovely! She is also very nice to wait us for almost half an hour for check in because we got stuck in traffic. What else..She is very fun to talk! She left the room spotless definitely recommended guest!
I've known Rachel for... lemme count... thirteen years. We went to school together and remained close despite attending college in different states. Rachel is always up for adventures, loves to hear and tell great stories and is an easy going traveler and host. (I once dropped by while she was cleaning her house in preparation for Airbnb guests- sparkle would be a good word for it) You could not find a better guest/host.
