Courtney was on the ball from the get-go. She messaged me and confirmed my arrival time, sorted the key pickup, and ensured we had everything we would need for our short stay. Though I never met her face-to-face, her personality shines through her beautiful apartment. It is very well kept and comfortable and the location is different from the New York I am used to. The location is quiet, clean, and boasts a lot of open space -- a stark contrast to the busy center city. Finding a cab was never difficult and there was no question that we were in a safe area.
She checked in with me a few times throughout my stay and toward the end walked us through her easy key drop off system. If you are looking for a place to stay in New York, I strongly recommend choosing Courtney.
Courtney was fantastic as a host. She accommodated our schedule, even though our flight was supposed to get in very late; and then when our flight changed she made the apartment available earlier! It was simple - no confusion or stress - and the apartment was just as advertised. I would definitely recommend Courtney as a host and this apartment as a great place to stay in Manhattan. My husband and I walked from the apartment to the Natural History Museum, the Central Park Zoo and back all in one morning. It really was a great trip!
Courtney was an excellent host. Every question I had for her was answered immediately. She went out of her way to meet us at her apartment. Our train arrived an hour an forty minutes late but she rearranged her schedule to meet us and made us feel welcome. The apartment was immaculate and very quiet. The bed was so comfortable we were really able to rest well. The neighborhood felt very safe and was convenient to many shops and restaurants. We will stay there whenever we can!
The apartment looked as the photos indicated. The unit and building are typical of a pre-war walkup on the UWS. The windows in the living room and bedroom face south, so the unit gets a ton of great sunlight.
I stayed during significant variance in temperature (25-67 degrees Fahrenheit), and never felt too warm or too cold.
Courtney was very easy to communicate with, and was very flexible with my check-in and check-out time. I would stay here again.
This apartment is in a neighbourhood which is very pleasant, safe and quiet, which was very important to us while visiting a big city like New York. The hostess is very accommodating and willing to promptly assist with any queries you might have. The apartment itself was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in New York. All mod cons were provided alongwith a very helpful map and guide for places to eat while we were out and about. We would recommend this apartment and may well consider staying here again should we return to the Big Apple.
Absolutely amazing. The flat is perfectly located, with all the amenities I could have wanted. Would definitely recommend when staying in new york!
Courtney's place was great for a NYC weekend getaway with my girlfriend. It's in a quiet neighborhood and a short walk from the subway. She left a subway map and restaurant guides which were very helpful. It's perfect for a couple looking to get a feel for what it's like to live on the Upper West Side.
Courtney was a fantastic host! She made everything so easy from beginning to end. She made it very convenient to get the keys and checked on me periodically to see if I needed anything. I loved the location of the apartment...convenient to everything I needed. The place was clean and cosy. Loved how everywhere I wanted to go was only footsteps away. I would highly recommend staying at her place!
The apartment was immaculate. The neighborhood was great. Courtney was always available for any questions. We would definitely stay there again.
Though we never met her personally (we met Brian, her boyfriend instead), Courtney was very helpful and was very easy to communicate with.
We stayed in Courtney's apartment for 1 week in July.
Her apartment was located in a very nice, safe and quiet neighbourhood on the Upper East side, very easily accessible by train (about 4 blocks to the nearest subway).
We enjoy walking and we could easily get to Central Park and Midtown (Broadway, Times Square) from her apartment.
The apartment itself was exactly like the listing, though a bit darker than how it actually looks in the photos, considering we were there during the summer.
We love to cook, so her having a complete kitchen was great!
Water pressure and temperature was also good, considering her apartment was 3 flights up.
The only problems (which are probably just a matter of preference) were the bed, which was a bit too soft and sunk in the middle, and the fact that there was too much hidden clutter (e.g. shoes under the bed) and personal effects (e.g. photos etc.) and no closet space, which is i suppose common when the owner actually lives in the unit.
Thank you, Courtney and Brian!
