We are pretty much down-to-earth, enjoy working in the garden, cooking, preserving, and our art. We watch tv most nights after a long day of working. Our house isn't big...but cozy. Having been a travel agent for most of my life, I've stayed in (and inspected) every type of accommodation from five-star luxury resorts, to a camp in the jungle in Canaima Falls, Venezuela. So I feel that I am a pretty good hostess, and can provide a comfortable and clean environment for our guests. Ross is "once a Marine, always a Marine". So if you are a woman traveling alone, you will be safe here with us. We are also in a very safe neighborhood. If you are here for the purpose of going downtown...we are about a 15-20 minute drive, although we are out in the country. If you are here because of Oak Ridge, we are just about 10 minutes, easy drive. We are nestled between the Cumberland Mountains and the Smokey Mountains (about 45 minutes to each).
We left Western New York 5 years ago to get away from the cold and high taxes. Having left all of our family and friends, we enjoy having visitors, and hosting Airbnb guests enables us to do so.
