We had a fantastic stay at Ia's! Her apartment is conveniently located in the lower east side with lots of restaurants, bars and cafés near it, and it's also close to various subway stations to bring you to other parts of Manhattan. It was also in a very safe neighborhood. The apartment was almost identical to the photos and well stocked, including an iron, hair dryer, full length mirror (which I found immensely useful as a girl!) and access to washing machines and dryers. It was also very clean and uncluttered.
Ia was also a great host. Though we never got to meet her in person, she left very clear instructions, was always contactable and replied quickly. She was very attentive to our needs as well.
Two minor hiccups was that the hot water knob in the shower was loose so it made adjusting the water temperature difficult (but still doable). Everything else with the shower was fine. Second thing was that strangely there were no pillows when we arrived but this was quickly resolved when we contacted Ia.
Overall we had a great stay and I would definitely recommend staying at Ia's!
I stayed at Ia's studio apartment for 4 weeks with my partner and it was a perfect base to explore NYC for 4 weeks.
The apartment was spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The kitchen was separate from the main living area which made the apartment feel more spacious. Ia greeted us on arrival and she was very attentive and easy to contact during our stay. She provided fresh clean bed lined and towels. The apartment also has a coin laundry on the ground floor which was very convenient! There's also a 24 hour doorman and an elevator.
The apartment was located in the Lower East Side about a 5 minute walk fro Delancey/Essex Street subway station (F/M line) - very convenient for heading uptown or for heading over to Brooklyn. Chinatown and Little Italy is a 5-10 minute walk away and there's a huge variety of tasty food choices. SoHo is an easy 15 minutes away with plenty of shopping, coffee and food options. There's also a supermarket, a 24-hour pharmacy, Citibank and a post office across the road.
Overall, Ia's apartment is exactly as shown in the photos and the bed was super comfy, especially after a long day exploring the city. I would definitely recommend Ia's apartment to anyone staying wanting to stay NYC.
I recently stayed with my girlfriend for 6 nights and we had a terrific time at Ia's studio. The building itself is within the old project housing but it has a doorman to buzz you in 24/7. It's nice and quiet which is surprising given the location (close to everything). There's terrific shopping in the nearby area with plenty of cafes. The Delancey/Essex Subway is only a 4-5 minute walk away so you can explore Manhattan easily from this apartment.
The studio itself has a sizeable kitchen with working microwave and fridge. It has a very comfortable couch and bed. The wi-fi is great and didn't give us any dramas at all.
Ia was great with her contact .She messaged me when I was due to land and asked me to call. Communication was great and we met up with her easily. I felt very comfortable with Ia and would certainly rent through her again. We had to leave slightly earlier and were unable to meet up with Ia but she was very accommodating. I would recommend this place for sure!
Ia was an excellent guest! She left the apartment perfectly. I would recommend she as a guest for everyone. And she would be welcome again!
