I was in Houston for three weeks and working basically twelve hours a day for the whole time. Nicholas' cottage was a welcome respite in a quiet neighborhood and close to NRG. It is also very close to major grocery stores and restaurants which made my life easier.
I did not have much interaction with Nicholas but he was attentive to requests and arranged to have the cottage cleaned midway through my stay.
The pictures depicting the cottage are accurate. The cottage served my needs well.
Our stay at Nicholas’s “Charming Montrose Guest House” was wonderful. We chose his place based on the location; we were visiting family who live nearby. But this is a wonderful area for any visitor to Houston, with many museums, cafes, restaurants and shops within (short) walking distance, and also just a few minutes from major bus stops (e.g., one bus--no transfer--to downtown). The apartment was just right; completely separate from his home; clean and comfortable; with all the amenities. Nicholas was very friendly and helpful to us in arranging our stay, and was very prompt in getting back to me whenever I had a question. Thank you Nicholas!

Great neighborhood! Great host! We will certainly look to stay here for our future trips.
This place is fantastic and walking distance to anything you need.
Very welcoming host, great neighbourhood, with great restaurants.
Nick was very warm and friendly and the Guest house is in a fabulous location in Houston. Parking is limited although we never had a problem parking in front of the the house. The house is modest but comfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Nicholas' charming Montrose guest house. The accommodations were clean, cozy and just as described. I felt safe and comfortable walking my pup in the neighborhood. The guest house is conveniently walking distance to many coffee shops and restaurants. Nicholas checked in on us once and let us know we could contact him if we needed anything. Nicholas was super polite and gave us our privacy. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Wonderful location, nice little guest house, and very accommodating host. I felt instantly at home and at ease here! Plus, it's dog-friendly!
We really enjoyed our stay in Nicholas' guest house. It is perfectly located in Montrose, just blocks away from lots of shopping and restaurants along the coolest strip (Westheimer) in that area. Nicholas was a great host, taking time to meet us as soon as we got there and strategizing with us over our plans to check out local neighborhoods for a potential move. During that evening he was quick to respond to any texts I sent about neighborhoods, directions, etc. even though this was totally not his duty. We contacted him ahead of time and he was welcoming about us bringing along our small dog. Really nice, offered bikes etc.
The place was neat and tidy and nicely decorated. I had everything we needed and lots of privacy. We had our own entrance to the yard through a gate formerly used for a driveway and felt comfortably coming in and out. We would definitely stay again when next in Houston.
