After growing up in the urban centre of Toronto, I moved across Canada to the small island city of Victoria, on Vancouver Island. This beautiful place has been my home base for the past dozen years, in between travels to such places as the Netherlands, Australia, and the Yukon. When I'm on the road, my favourite things to experience are farmers' markets, art galleries, and secondhand stores. At home, I'm devoted to my garden, my dog, and my spouse... Not to mention my million-and-one creative projects! I sew, knit, cook, and have a general DIY obsession. I am currently halfway through my training as an electrician: I hope that when I'm fully certified, I'll have even more opportunities to travel the world.
Other passions of mine include literature, sustainable building practices, co-operatives and the social economy, urban geography, home canning and fermenting, and organizing alternative social spaces.
