We have three daughters. One who is 5 another who is 2 and then the third daughter turned 1 in June. We also have another baby on the way due the middle of October. :) We moved here from Texas for me (Steven) to finish my college degree and Katie was a teacher until 2013. We fell into the vacation rental business accidentally when we bought the cabin next to our house to keep it from falling into disarray. We started by renting out that first cabin in June of 2011, we now both do this full time while raising our girls. This is far harder than any other either of us has ever done and we are now at 50+ months without a single day off. I had never heard the term, "the innkeeper never sleeps" and now we live it. This is all we do every single day of the year. If you need something on Christmas or any other holiday we're always available to help.

We're not a big company and we have no outside investors... we are just a husband and wife (with 3 kids and one on the way) trying our best to create great vacation memories for our guests. We personally own every property that we rent out. Our cabins are not perfect, but they do have character, history & warmth. If you prefer staying someplace that is unique then you'll love it here. There are lots of improvements we would like to make if money wasn't an issue. Katie says I'll never be satisfied and keep wanting to make improvements to the cabins (and she is most likely correct). :) As I said above, none of our cabins are perfect, but we believe our service is second to none.

Treat others as you want to be treated.

And if you cannot say anything nice, it is better to say nothing at all.
