Our host met us when we arrived and served us cold drinks, including apple juice for the children. She spent time showing us around, making sure we knew how everything worked. She left us some food, wine and cider. Her apartment is lovely, in a wonderful location for exploring Paris. It is near gardens to walk in, a wonderful jogging trail, metro stops and the Seine. It is also close to Place des Vosges, an area we visited frequently and loved. She left us good maps and suggestions, including good restaurant ideas.
The kitchen was well-supplied with appliances, a dishwasher, utensils, coffee-maker, etc.
The apartment felt very much like a home, including toys for children and very interesting/attractive fixtures. All in all, it was a charming place to stay in.
Gwenola made our stay perfect. Before our arrival she gave us excellent information about the area, travel to her family's flat, where to eat, and what to see nearby. Upon our arrival, we met her lovely neighbor for the key as the family was traveling. The flat was excellent. We had beds for all of us, 2 bathrooms, a spacious common area and even plenty of movies for evening entertainment. The flat itself is bright, with lots of natural light. It was warm, clean, and big enough for all of us. The Bastille area was wonderful as well. We had the luxury of being tourists all day, and then feeling like Parisians at night. The area allows for easy metro access, but also, easy walks to sites (we walked home from the Notre Dame, in December), restaurants, and shopping. Additionally, there is a tremendous (and well known) market on Tuesday and Thursday, which really gives you a chance to see a different side of the culture of the area (my kids loved it). We did have a little challenge with the stove, but Gwenola and her husband promptly Skyped with us and walked us through it. Gwenola and her family have a warm, comfortable home, with eclectic and interesting art, and plenty of space. This was our first airbnb experience, and it won't be our last. Thank you!!
Had a wonderful Christmas stay in Gwenola and Benoit's place. The apartment is stunning and is in a really great location, exactly as described. It was perfect for my family (5 of us) to have a relaxing Christmas time in Paris.
Benoit and Gwenola were very responsive and answered all our questions promptly and even left us a little welcome video. Little touches like towels and fancy soaps left on the bed were an added touch to make us feel really at home.
This reservation wasn't for Gwenola but for her friend Sarah, that I met with other friends; about the apartment nothing to say, all in good conditions. Absolute recommended!
