Transplanted Roman who considers herself happy to have found a slice of heaven. Still though always a foot out the door in search of new slices...
My mom and her friend never got to know Nina. As they mentioned the place is realy central but there werent many appliances for coffee and staff
Great location and views of Rome from rooftop terrace can't be beat!
A little noisy which we knew about and expected. The bathroom shower viable changing every few seconds from cold to hot water and poor water pressure needs to be rectified.
It is a nice ample comfortable appartment in a wonderful square in Trastevere. It is quite easy to get to plaza Veneziaia in the city center and Termini station as well. There are suppermarkets nearby and a lot of restaurants as it is in the center of Trastevre..The kitchen was fully equipped .and bathromm was ok. Bedrooms are ample but bed linen and towels a little bit old .
Nina is a lovely and helpful host. The appartment itself is very well located, at the foot of the Butte Montmartre and is a great base to explore this great area of Paris. There is plenty of room and it's all very functionnal. Nicely furnished. The little balcony is also an absolute luxury in Paris! HIghly recommended! Thanks Nina!
The apartment has great location and terrace, however it is quite noisy (street traffic, sirens etc) and is in need of renovation and full cleaning. Sleeping on the sofa bed for more than one night is not recommended. Our hosts were very nice and allowed us earlier check-in and later check-out.
Beautiful apartment located in my favorite part of Rome. It's well stocked and a great place to spend a week or more. It will now be our summer rental for my parents' annual visit. Thanks Nina!
Great apartment. As described, the location was amazing and the terrace spectacular. Everything went extremely smoothly and Nina is very kind and professional. I would recomend this apartment to whoever was interested
First -- it is indeed about a 15-minute tram ride from the center of Rome. We liked this particular aspect as we were far enough away from the touristy and busier areas of the city, but still could get in quite easily on the #8 tram which is very convenient to the apartment. It is also about a 5-minute walk to the Trastevere train station from where you can catch a train to Termini every thirty minutes or so. We often walked from the center of Rome all the way back to the apartment, which takes about 40 minutes and is quite pleasant. You can easily walk to the Trastevere shopping/dining area in about 20 minutes, or across the river to Testaccio in about ten minutes. There is a very new market in Testaccio that we loved visiting. On Sundays, the Porta Portese market is right out the front door and was so much fun to explore.
There were two grocery stores within about one block from the apartment, as well as several cafes for coffee and gelato, and a great little pizza take-out restaurant. There is also a playground directly in front of the apartment building which our son loved. The living room, two bedrooms, kitchen and bath were all spacious enough. In addition, the outside terrace is wonderful for spending time in the sun and eating outdoors. There was plenty of hot water in the shower, the washing machine was easy to use, and there is air conditioning, wi-fi and cable TV with several English channels.
Nina was wonderful to work with. She met us when we arrived from the airport and had even stocked the kitchen with a few supplies so that we did not immediately need to go to the grocery store. She came by every few days to water the plants and feed the pet parakeets (which live outside on the terrace). During our stay the lights in the kitchen stopped working and she had an electrician come to repair them. She was always responsive and helpful. The apartment building has a very nice doorman as well.
There were a few drawbacks that we had not expected, which proved more difficult only because we were traveling with a young child. It is on the 9th floor of the apartment building, but the elevator only goes to the 8th floor. One flight of stairs is no big deal, but can be challenging when lugging a stroller and toddler up and down. The apartment is very bright -- which is quite lovely -- but there are no window coverings to close out the light in the bedrooms. Since we were traveling with our 2-year old son, we taped up some black garbage bags to the windows in his bedroom so the sun would not wake him up at 6am, and for his nap time. We found the biggest drawback to be the kitchen. It is outdoors, on the terrace. While of course it is covered in case of rain, it was extremely hot during our entire stay. It was terribly uncomfortable to be outside cooking in the heat of July in Rome. Even very early in the morning it could already be quite hot, and by the time the sun goes down and it is cool enough outside, it is nearly 10pm. I'm sure in cooler weather the outdoor kitchen is lovely -- it is well stocked with cooking supplies, dishes, spices, and a nice gas range stove. It was just challenging in the heat of the summer.
Overall, Nina was a lovely host and this was a wonderful apartment. We truly enjoyed our stay in Rome and would recommend this apartment.
We had a fantastic months stay in Nina's lovely apartment! Clean, well-kept and fully furnished, the apartment was perfect and only 5 minutes walk from the metro. Nina was very quick to respond to our emails and the booking was hassle-free- would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Paris, we had a great time!
The view is excellent. That makes the stay worth it by itself. Air conditioning made a world of difference when we got back in the apartment after a hot day in Rome. Kitchen is and bathrooms quite small, but we did not spend much time there. One thing that we really missed was internet or wifi.
It was really a pleasure to host Nina and her son for two night. They are really a great and easy-going person, we spent good time with them. Perfect guests!
Good people, kind and friendly.
