I'm a young researcher in neurosciences, native from Geneva, Switzerland but who works now in Amsterdam,Netherlands.
I grew up and studied in Geneva until the age of 24. Then, I moved to Netherlands to start a PhD in late 2007. Since my graduation, spring 2012, I work as a postdoc. fellow at the Vrij University, in Amsterdam, at the institute of Medicine :
I greatly enjoy living in Amsterdam since I moved from my native Geneva. I'm fascinated by the open mind and the progressive spirit of the people over here. It brings a dynamic vibe that suits me well in the daily life.
I enjoy also greatly the event scene in Amsterdam that allows to meet a broad range of people from different horizons, from native dutches to the other expats!
I have been studying cello by the musical school in Geneva and although I don't always have time to play and practice on a daily basis, I definitely listen to music all the day long. I like a broad range of music styles: from the classical to the more garage-rock repertory. (I am a fan of Queen of the Stone Age).
When I was living in Switzerland, I was enjoying a lot skying during winter time and motorbiking in Summer time. However, with the lack of mountains around Amsterdam, I had to change my timeout activities to some more indoor sport: gym, climbing or running.
I hope that with that , you can get a wide description of myself! :)
