Everything was lovely! House was warm, neat, and cozy. Great views, as promised and an all-around awesome experience. Host was accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended.
I came with 4 of my good buddies for the weekend and had an amazing time. The view was absolutely stunning and the accommodations were great. Definitely going to visit here again.
This is the 2nd year in a row that we have used Rachel's place to take in all that fall has to offer in Northern New England. The view from her deck alone is worth the price of admission. We love the wide plank floors and open feel of the place. It had everything we needed and was the perfect launching pad for our jaunts into the mountains of both Vermont and New Hampshire.
Rachel's home is lovely, and the view from the deck is spectacular! She was very responsive to questions and a real pleasure to talk to. The driveway really is quite steep, and as another reviewer suggested a vehicle with AWD is useful. Also, i would recommend bringing printed directions as once we got off the highway our GPS got very confused. I have totally fallen in love with Vermont. The town is lovely, the people are exceptionally friendly, and the air is clean and refreshing. It was a wonderful vacation. I wish we could have planned to stay longer.
The house was amazing! A truly wonderful place to go to get away for a bit. It is in a beautiful location with an amazing view, near nice places to swim and places to get amazing farm produce. The actual house is also well equipped and very comfortable. I had no complaints being there and would recommend it to others to visit without hesitation.
We really enjoyed staying at Rachel's place. It was a very well maintained cabin, with lots of living room and kitchen space! We especially loved the exterior balcony and being able to look out at the beautiful morning light. Rachel was very responsive to our emails and even had her mother drop off a vacuum cleaner for us so we could clean up before heading out. One thing to note is that the drive way to Rachel's place is pretty steep! It was fine for us but just a heads up if you are driving a non SUV. Would absolutely recommend for someone who is looking for a nice and secluded spot in the woods with all the home amenities of the everyday world.
This house was great! It was spotless. The size was perfect for our group of 6 plus one dog and one 3 year old. The kitchen was very well equipped which allowed us to cook at home both nights. The view from the porch was incredible and we loved having snacks and drinks there every evening. The location was ideal for the bike race we were up there for. It was also not too far to Hanover and to the Northeast Kingdom. Rachel was wonderful to work with. Very helpful and her responses were always prompt. We would love to stay there again!
We had a fantastic time at Rachel's home in Fairlee. We got in a bit late at night, and she was kind enough to make a trip to the house to turn on the heat and lights so we got in ok. Very cozy and comfortable, and tons of great hikes and fun things to do. Thanks again!
This house was very comfortable, relaxing, and a perfect get-away!
Rachel's place was fantastic: the cottage has a gorgeous view of the valley through large windows and wrap around deck; everything is clean and comfortable; and the kitchen is large and well outfitted. The cottage is very quiet and secluded, while also being located quite close the major highways for easy sightseeing and grocery shopping.
The cottage is located on winding back roads and up a steep driveway, so arriving in daylight is advised.
We stumbled upon Hanover and explored the campus as well as the town. The small coop was wonderful, filled with local goods, a bulk foods section, interesting ciders, and specialty items like gluten free bread.
We loved Rachel's cottage and would recommend it to friends. Rachel was very responsive and left the cottage warm and clean upon our arrival. Thanks Rachel!
