New Orleans enthusiast, loves to cook and eat, listen to music, read, travel and share stories of these things with others.
Georgia's place is absolutely beautiful. I stayed in her place with my best friend on our visit to the great city of New Orleans. There was plenty of room for both of us. We each had our own bed which made things very comfortable. The place is located near St Roch market which has amazing food!! I loved waking up and taking the one minute stroll to get my morning omelet and fresh juice. The place is also very close to Frenchman St and French quarter. It's a nice walk to get there and you get to experience the surrounding neighborhood. I absolutely recommend staying at her gorgeous place. She even had the radio set to a station that played jazz all day. Oh what a treat!!
Georgia was very gracious from the start. She made sure to communicate well in advance and waited for us to arrive from the airport to give us a tour of the place. Her listing is simply amazing. Elegant, and classy, we had no problems at all with her place. It is conveniently located next to St. Roch Market, and a short 20 minute walk to the French Quarter.
Georgia was very personable and helpful for my family's first visit to NOLA. We thoroughly enjoyed her accommodations and will certainly stay again. I wanted a more intimate experience with the locals and to be close to heavy trafficked tourist areas like the French Quarter. I was able to get just that at Georgia's place!
It was my intention to show my daughter what living in New Orleans is like as a local, something a hotel or guest house just can't give you. This was indeed a success. Georgia was also a warm and welcoming hostess who enjoyed giving us a tour of the apartment and a brief neighborhood tour. We even managed to run into her in an art gallery and found the experience was like a chance encounter with an old friend. There is a very close bus stop that will take you to the Canal st streetcars which can then connect you to the St Charles and Riverfront streetcars for requires very little fuss. The walk to and from Frenchman street and points further is pleasant especially to someone who enjoys walking.
Georgia was a wonderful host! Upon arrival she showed my brother and me around and told us things to do around the city. She made sure to have your books and magazines available for us to look at. She made us feel welcome. My car battery died while there and her very friendly neighbor helped me jump my car off. She was very prompt with messaging back. Her house was clean and nice. My brother and I had a wonderful time and with this as my first air bnb experience I will definitely be using this site again. If I ever go back to NOLA I will certainly be using Georgia's place again.
Georgia is a very thoughtful host. The apartment was nice, clean and located close to the main attractions in the city and also beautiful St Roch Market and trendy restaurants. A perfect AirBnb.
Beautiful space, really close to St Roch Markets which became our favorite breakfast place as well as lunch and a fantastic meeting place. Georgia did everything to make us feel at home to giving us a short tour of the area. Will defiantly be back
We had the best time staying at Maison Marais 2. Georgia was exceptionally welcoming and immediately took us on a short tour of the neighborhood; Georgia was flexible with our travel schedule and allowed us to get in early and leave late. We really appreciated the fact that Marigny is kind of off the beaten path, so you can find a little respite after an afternoon in the quarter.
Georgia was such a great host and her place was perfect and I'm a great location, just a 10 minute walk to Frenchmen street and also easy to get to other areas such as Bywater and the Crescent Park and St Roche market. When I arrived Georgia was there to meet me and drive me around the area and French Quarter to help me get to know the area a little. I'd recommend Georgia's place without hesitation and would definitely book again if staying in NOLA. Thanks a million Georgia!
Georgia, and her friend are two very neat and respectful of the (URL HIDDEN) has been our pleasure to receive Casa Felicidad.
Great guest, very friendly and punctual.
She left the apartment very clean.
It was a real pleasure to have Georgia and Louis at home : charming couple, happy with everything, easy going and respectful. I warmly recommend them. All the best to you , come back anytime: you are welcome !
Delightful stay. Perfectly appointed. Easy access.
Felt very at home. Georgia was the hostess with the mostess!
We stayed here last year, and it was fantastic, easy walking to everywhere we wanted to go, spacious in the house, so convenient, and great price especially when we had to convert from $NZ. Georgia gave us very good advice on what was on, and places we should go that you need local knowledge for.
Would definitely come again, and recommend to anyone I know going to New Orleans.
Have since been watching the series Treme, and it all is so real after being around this area, and the same problems they face, are what we are dealing with in Christchurch, post-earthquake! (from New Zealand)
Georgia is truly hospitable and and an excellent host. I called her on the suggestion of a volunteer from Historic Green, the organization I currently direct and the reason I travel to NOLA. Having never met me, Georgia immediately remembered the volunteer by name and made arrangements to accommodate me on only 2 days' notice. She went so far as to offer me a spot in her own home if she was unable to get Maison Marais ready for me in time.
Incredibly, though it was undergoing renovation at the time, my room at Maison Marias was spotless and perfectly appointed when I arrived.
I cannot say enough good things about this lovely shotgun double. It is comfortable, spacious, wonderfully decorated, reasonably priced, and PERFECTLY located if you are interested in walking to some of the best food and music the city has to offer. Across the street is my very favorite NOLA neighborhood bar, St. Roch Tavern, and mere blocks away is the unbelievably cool Marigny/ Bywater neighborhoods, home to Frenchman Street, Bachannal, and pretty much anything else you would have heard of if you watch Treme.
Do yourself a favor and stay at Georgia's place on your next trip to the Big Easy. Unless you are just dying to stay in the French Quarter, which will cost more and be less interesting, (and which is still within walking distance of Maison Marais), you will be very happy you did!
Georgia is a lovely, generous host and I recommend her and her charming house unreservedly! We had a fantastic time and had a great tour of the city in the bargain. She also provides fantastic recommendations for where to go and what to eat. Can't recommend highly enough.
