I'm originally from Los Angeles but have been around the world for work, travel and fun. Currently, I'm based in San Francisco. I tell stories for a living, so I enjoy meeting new people, exploring new cultures, eating different types of food, and appreciating the simple things in life!
The best part of traveling is the people you meet along the way. Isn't it incredible when two people - from opposite sides of the world, or country - can have a discussion about life and adventures? It's amazing what can happen when we take the time to simply, talk. I've met so many incredible, amazing, and interesting people during my travels. From staying with a host family in Japan several years ago to sleeping on a couch with two sisters in Colorado to living abroad at as a teacher in Thailand, it's all about building friendships and global community of people.
One of the most memorable experiences is when I was backpacking through Myanmar and became friends with a local family who opened their hearts, souls, and (literally) home for me. What started off as a quick stay turned into much more than that. In fact, I traveled around the country with the mother, grandmother and 16-year-old son to the ancient temples of Bagan. On our third day, we woke up to a torrential downpour. Instead of letting it rain on our parade, we spent the entire day temple hopping! We laughed, we talked, and we shared this unforgettable experience...together.
Besides work and travel, I love playing sports (basketball, dodgeball, kickball), hiking, biking, cooking, the great outdoors, health and wellness, music and reading! Family, friends and community are important to me and I couldn't live without this support system.
