Nothing short of perfect. The cottage was ideal in both location and amenities. The best part of staying at the cottage is staying with Brit. He is better than any concierge at a hotel. In summary it is a great place to stay and you will have the insiders view when you stay with Brit. I have nothing negative to say (and I am a New York). Amazing stay and I would not hesitate to stay there again and again.
Staying at La Cimarrona in February was a truly interesting experience. We warmed to the rustic construction and bright colors on sunny days that were over 60 deg, but found it quite cold at night when the temps dropped to the 30's. Kept a fire going in the fireplace and used the heater but still quite cold in the morning. It's a wonderful little cabin and we loved the decor and the artwork but it might be better for younger folks who can bridge the claw foot tub with ease and not mind a place that's a little rough around the edges. We left behind a toaster and radio to add to the comfort level for the next guests. No wifi, no TV, and no coffee maker (but there is an espresso maker), just so you know. Great accessibility to the the town and great price, Thanks Britt!
Very rustic and cozy place! We enjoyed the fireplace very much and the host worked very well with us for a last minute accommodation. We would stay again.
Charming cottage with a great yard and convenient to town and amenities. I loved staying here. It was cozy and comfortable, a great way to unwind. It was so nice being able to bring my dogs instead of having to kennel them and the fenced yard was great. I also appreciated having a kitchen - hit the local farmer's market early in my stay and then cooked most of my meals instead of having to eat out every day. And the bed was so comfy! Throw in the sound of rain on the tin roof and I slept like a baby. The owners were great, responded very quickly before my trip and I had no problems at all. Would definitely return.
I absolutely love this place. Britt takes such good care of the cottage. It's beautifully decorated with art everywhere. It is, as others have noted, rustic--people have different definitions of this--but it was exactly what I wanted. I love that it is located in a historic neighborhood. Great neighbors. It's a perfect place to write. Britt stayed in touch via email and allowed me to extend my stay. I hope to return.
This little cabin is a hidden gem within walking distance of downtown Beaufort, which stole our hearts. It is obviously well looked after and serves as hide-away.
The cabin is exactly what you would expect - rustic but with added touches and funky art work. This was exactly what we needed as our homebase in Beaufort for a week of decompressing from the rat race.
We absolutely fell in love with Beaufort - the friendly locals, the great restaurants along the waterfront, and in close proximity to Hunting Isalnd Beach (to die for), Hilton Head Island, Charleston and Savannah.
At the end of the day, it was heaven returning to our little cabin for a glass of wine and the cross breeze that blows through and cools everything down.
The owners were great to deal with and everything was exactly as expected. Would highly reccomend this for a unique getaway.
The space was really cute. It was small and cozy and really all the space one needs when traveling.
We greatly appreciated having a lovely place where we could bring our dog and cook our own food.
It was an excellent location in Beaufort and we loved walking through the neighborhoods on our way to the water. And Beaufort is an excellent place to start day trips from too. Hunting Islands, Savannah, Charleston, Hilton Head are all pretty close and yet you don't have to deal with the hub-bub of a "big" city or be in the middle of nowhere - just go explore for an afternoon.
My boyfriend, dog and I stayed at Britt's cottage for almost two weeks. It's a little hidden gem and if you've found it too - enjoy!
This place might not be for everyone...it's definitely a little rustic so don't expect modern luxury. It's exactly what you see in the photos clean, bright, well designed, cozy and vintage.
The location is perfect for heading to downtown Beaufort, Hunting Island and nearby Charleston, Savannah and Hilton Head.
The yard is spacious and beautiful. The showers are warm and the antique stove actually makes for easy, but slow cooking.
If you want a true southern experience, stay here. It's a dream.
This terrific little cottage is clean, artsy and in a great spot in small Beaufort. I was 2 minutes from waterfront parks and numerous coffee shops (best were Common Ground and City Java). I was able to accomplish exactly what I wanted, and the house was no more or no less than what I hoped it would be. An authentic experience in Beaufort. Thanks Britt and Alejandro!
We spent a week here over the holidays and had a lovely stay. There was plenty of room for my husband and I and our dog loved running in around in the large backyard. Quiet and convenient to downtown.
Britt was an ideal guest and was very easy to coordinate with in advance of his stay. He was extremely respectful of the apartment and left everything cleaner than he found it! I'd be more than happy to host him again!
It was a pleasure to meet Britt and Alejandro. They are gentlemen with whom it is very easy to communicate and agree.
Britt thank you very much.
My house is your house......
Britt stayed at my apt for 4 days, and all went well. The apt was left in shape and all communications before and after check in were great. I would definitely host again.
Hi everybody, it was really great to meet Britt and Alejandro. They were super cool and very nice people. About my room, it was left very clean and neat. They were respectful of my space and belongings I would rent to them again. THEY ARE EXCELLENT GUESTS.
Great first guests! Thanks for the visit. Come back again soon!
