I'm a journalist living in San Francisco and enjoy meeting interesting people through Airbnb!
We stayed at 17 Jennifer Place for four nights with my parents. It was our first airbnb experience and we were impressed! The place was exactly as described and clean. We loved the gated entrance and proximity to Peets and Whole Foods.
I had a great experience staying at Louise's place. She was quick to answer all my questions and very accommodating. And the townhouse was perfect for our group of four. There's lots of great food in the neighborhood and the private street is very quiet. Thanks Louise!
Great Townhome in a great location. This was a gated complex, and in a very convenient part of the city. I was able to walk to work and even Union Square, or take a quick cab ride. The host had everything I needed in the home. The house was very clean, and there was a very nice design and attention to detail throughout the house. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to visit San Francisco! Thanks Louise :)
Louise's apartment is exactly as pictured , on three floors, and its location makes it easy to explore the city, shopping and using public transportation. It is clean and well-equipped.
Louise was moving (but she had warned us) , so it isher friend Jackie who greeted us at the scheduled time.
Just two things to know : there are no hairdryer and no A.C.
We really enjoyed our stay, thanks Louise.
Louise's apartment was fantastic as advertised!
Location: situated across the Panhandle, it was a convenient location to walk to the Asbury/Haight area and Golden State Park. If you have access to a car, you can get to the Golden Gate Bridge and Twin Peaks within 10 minutes. Otherwise there are several convenient transit routes (N judah, 5 fulton, 21 hayes) to get around to places such as Chinatown , Union Square, Fishermans Wharf in 30 mins or so. For groceries, we walked to Whole Foods in less than 10 minutes ... And for coffee, we went to flywheel which is located next door.
Amenities: The apartment was clean, extremely spacious, way more than the two of us needed! The kitchen was well equipped and full of all kinds of condiments! Wifi was reliable and we also had access to the tv with cable. The bed was comfortable with extra blankets available. When it got cold at night, we turned on the heater using louise's tips which kept us nice and cozy! Only complaint which was beyond Louise's control were the thin floors ... Which we heard noise from the above tenant that was moving furniture ... But it wasn't a major deal as we were out for most of the day and noise was gone by the time we returned. Like other reviews, i agree that fell street is a loud street due to the busy traffic ... HOWEVER... we were both heavy sleepers so that never bothered us! She did have a small bottle of earplugs which was nice to have.
The host: Louise was leaving town but made time to meet us to provide keys and detailed instructions. She was very accommodating in our check out and had a friend pick up the keys before our flight out.
We would definitely stay here again!
Lovely townhouse; location is perfect for any exploration of the city and just a short walk to shopping around Market/Powell/Union Sq.
The House itself was as pictured, clean and in a quiet gated community in the middle of the city! It was great for five of us although the fairly small bathroom made it a bit of a challenge with five girls trying to get ready. One thing I didn't realize is that the place doesn't have an A/C - this was especially tough on the first day as it was extremely hot in the house and I had the bed on the top floor where the heat was almost unbearable. Louise gave us a few tips on how to cool it down though, so it's all good! If you do prefer an A/C though then just keep this in mind. Another minor thing is that there was no hairdryer but we just popped into a nearby store and bought a cheap one.
There's a WholeFoods just a short walk away which was amazing as we were able to buy some things for breakfast and dinner.
All in all, a really pleasant stay and Louise was very responsive and helpful the entire time. If you are looking for a cozy place as a base for your touristy explorations, this is definitely it.
Renting this apartment in San francisco was my first experience using Aibnb.
As I went to a Medical Convention in San Francisco, the apartment location was perfect. It is located on the downtown area of the city, not far from the Moscone Center and very close from a lot of facilities like car rentals, supermarkets and stores.
I stayed for four days in the apartment with my wife and my three kids, aged 32, 22 and 19. The apartment is very well displayed, clean and organized. Louise, who rented us the apartment, was very kind and attentive.
The two little problems I had consisted on the time it took to have my emails about the rent answered and the fact that the ac wasn't enough for all the three floors. Despite that, our stay in San Francisco, was since the first contact, very good and pleasant.
I really recommend it!
great location, easy to get around. the apartment is so clean and very cute! the area was fine, other reviews said it felt sometimes a little shady but we didnt think that whatsoever. thanks Louise for a hassle free stay.
Great place, great hospitality. The house is really clean, confortable and apropriated to travel with friends / workmates. The decoration is really sweet. I spent 14 days in this house in San Francisco and It was a great experience. Louise is really quick to communicate and to solve issues. I was really happy for my choice and hope to come back ASAP!
It was a pleasure to welcome Louise. It was easy to communicate with her and she left my place in great shape. A wonderful guest!
Louise is a really good friend and person. She is honest, loyal and fun, I wish I could describe all of her great qualities, but I would need more space than this little blurb. Her apartment is the quintessential San Francisco apartment. Clean, huge and bright with bay windows and hard wood floors, it’s located in the center of the city so it’s easily accessible to the tourist sites like Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf and Golden Gate Park as well as the eclectic and distinctive San Francisco neighborhoods like the Haight and Castro. If you want the best San Francisco experience it starts with staying at her place.
Louise is a great friend and hostess. She's kind, smart, funny, super thoughtful and an incredible cook!
As a native San Franciscan, she knows the city extremely well and is a great source for food and shopping recommendations.
Her apartment is excellent as well: gorgeous, well-furnished, very clean and located in a fun and safe neighborhood.
Louise is almost as awesome as her apartment! Seriously, you couldn't ask for a lovelier place or a more gracious host. Her place is huge, bright, airy and spotless. And it's location on the Panhandle puts it in walking distance of GG Park, Haight Street and lots of great bars and restaurants. Be careful if you stay here because you may not want to leave.
