I can be all business when I have something planned, which is often, but the things I love most about travel are those dinners when I arrive the night before or breakfasts when I can't quite leave same-day. I'm a very lateral thinker, which leads to table conversations that play out like an episode of Connections; but on the other hand if there's anything I like more than coming up with a clever topic, it's hearing something unique, experiencing something new, and jolting myself out of my mental ambiance rather than just living the same old routine in a different town.
