My husband and I both grew up in the area we live in. We are very familiar with the area and look forward to helping you have a pleasant stay.
My girlfriend and I needed a place to stay for the forth. Honestly Lynda couldn't have been more inviting, she made us feel like family. If you need a place in that area don't hesitate to contact her. You won't be disappointed :)
Lynda and Jeff were the best hosts we could ask for. Lynda was worried the place wouldn't be in tiptop shape due to a family barbeque they were hosting, but when we arrived, it was tidy all-around and she kindly even offered us some delicious leftovers from the barbeque (she's a great cook/baker, and Jeff clearly has some skill on the grill). BONUS for us! They also have a friendly, but gentle dog that love tummy rubs.
The room was perfect, with its own air conditioning, mini fridge, TV, wi-fi, and extra blankets in case you sleep with a blanket hog like I do. The bathroom was also super clean and stocked with everything you could need. Everything was just as shown in the pictures. The house is just around the corner from a convenience store.
My boyfriend and I had a tight schedule when we were visiting, and Lynda and Jeff were a huge help for us, offering to drive us to the bus station and other locations for a fraction of the price that a taxi would have cost us.
We both felt very well taken care of during our brief stay with not a single complaint. :)
Lynda and Jeff were friendly, considerate and helpful. Their neighborhood is pretty and quiet, and their house is lovely and clean. My room was large, clean and comfortable. They also have an adorable dog and cat on their welcome committee.
Lynda truly helped me facilitate my weekend schedule. She picked me up from the train station when I arrived, stopping so I could order takeout from the local (and very good) Italian restaurant. Lynda drove me to and from my weekend workshop at SUNY Westbury as well, making my weekend much easier than it would have been otherwise.
I recommend staying at Lynda & Jeff's place, & look forward to staying there again in the future.
Lynda and Jeff are adorable. Really really good people. I spent 40 days at their house and have no complaints at all. They made me feel really part of the family and at the same time gave me the privacy I'd like to have. The room and the bathroom were pretty clean and confortable, as it seems to be in the pictures. Laundry and kitchen acess also helped a lot, once it was a long stay. The pets were also a good point - always friendly. I strongly advise you to stay at this place. Definitely looking forward to stay there again.
Response from Lynda:
Ivo, It was great having you stay with us! We have wonderful memories of you and wish you all the best! You were a great guest!
Lynda and her husband are very nice people with one cat and dog that love to play. The bedroom itself was nice and comfortable, as was the bathroom. I had an interview at Nassau University Medical Center and Lynda was very kind to drop me off and pick up from my interview. They are very gracious hosts and lovely stay with as a whole!
Lynda was extremely accommodating and helpful. I was coming in to interview at Nassau medical centre and my flight ended up being cancelled. She was gracious enough to pick me up even though it was much later and at a different airport. The house was very clean and the room was reflective of the picture. However, as mentioned before the house did smell of smoke and some of my clothes still smelled afterwards. Although this was a bargain, in terms of hotels nearby and transportation. She drove me to and from the interview and dropped me off at the train station.
Overall a positive experience.
Lynda was a great host, flight was delayed til past midnight, but she still stayed up and got me into the house. Very accommodating, house was clean, and perfect for what I needed. Thanks!
Lynda and her husband Jeff are very nice people with good hearts. They made my boyfriend and I feel very at home and even before that, she picked us up from the airport which was nice. She took us wherever we had to go with no hesitation. They're great people, the negative was that as soon as we got to their home it smelled like cigarette smoke throughout the house which it doesn't state on her profile that they at smokers, and the house wasn't as clean as expected. It didn't look how it looks in the pictures. Their pets were cute and friendly but the dog or cat hairs were all over the place. Again, very nice people but I don't think I would stay there again.
Lynda was the sweetest host. She picked me up at the trainstation when I arrived. My plans for the stay there was going to a concert at Nassau Colisseum, which is close to Lynda and her husbands house, and Lynda both drove me and picked me up after the concert, free of charge.
She even got up early on a sunday morning to drive me to Newark Airport, an hour away, just payed her a small fee, probably half of what it would cost to get a taxi.
They have the cutest and friendliest dog, and also a cat.
Really nice people, would stay there again if ever in the neighbourhood.
Lynda and her husband are very warm and friendly, as are their pets. Felt like arriving at home. The bathroom , while down the hall from the bedroom, was not used by anyone during my stay, and was clean and functional.
The one comment is that the house smells of cigarette smoke, and I may have missed that warning, as I would probably always choose a non- smoking space.
The price was very good, it was a comfortable, easy place to land while I was in town.
Very kind, and warm hosts
