I'm a techie / entrepreneur in a fun, lively town - Austin! Like many Austinites, I have a graduate degree and chose not to enter traditional work. Instead, I run an emerging startup.
I live in a cooperative community. This means, I live in a house where people work together to live more equitably and sustainably. We have a blast and all have an artist's edge to us.
As a conversationalist, I enjoy learning from others and meeting strong minds. However, if any guests don't want to be bothered, I understand how to accommodate and provide sufficient space.
I've traveled all over the world (Brazil, Central America, tuck-a-way towns in Mexico) and worked in the Middle East for my externship in graduate school. My job was to raise growth-stage capital from the states for startups based in Israel. It was an interesting experience with plenty of stories to share.
While living in Austin, I spend the majority of my time building my company operations. Other time is spent attending tech events, attending lectures at my alma mater or biking around this beautiful city to enjoy festivals and the like. I also play in a gypsy jazz ensemble (also referred to as Jazz Manouche).
Every day, I smile, laugh and socialize with an awesome cooperative family of 100 people. We all live in a big, winding tree house style home. It's an inspiring and eclectic home, for which I'm grateful. I'd love to see you here for a few nights during your stay in Austin!
