Graphic designer/artist living in New York. I love hosting and traveling with real people, and I love airbnb. I'm very friendly and approachable so don't hesitate to write.
Enjoy and safe travels!
Sheila was fantastic! The place was very conveniently located, and the apartment had everything that I needed. It was very close to the Chelsea market, which was great for shopping and food. It was a very NYC stay.
Everything was perfect and check in was so easy. Sheila is a great host, very easy to contact and very helpful. Location is wonderful, yes apartment is very cozy but it's enough for 2 people, especially bed is very confortable. All can be made on foot (Chelsea, High line etc...) Wifi worked without problems but little slow.
Thanks again for everything! See you soon!
We had a great time at Sheila's place during a recent 5 night stay. Check-in was very easy - we just got the keys from a lockbox outside her building. Her apartment is cozy but comfortable. We didn't have the occasion to use the kitchen (we spent most of our time out and about), but there's a good sized fridge and a nice stove top, so I'm sure that would have worked fine. Location is fantastic. Right in the middle of the West Village, close to several key subway stops, and only a few blocks from the High Line. Great restaurants, bars, coffee places, shops etc. are everywhere. Would definitely recommend this to 1 or 2 people who want a good base of operations to hang out in NYC for a few days.
Nice decorated flat in a charming district, nearby the subway, Chelsea market, High Line, Pier. All can be made by foot.
Also, the flat is located in a quiet area, which is cool to sleep ;-)
The wifi was fine.
NYC ... what a town !
Had a great stay at Sheila's apartment, perfect location.
Everything is in the title : Cozy Studio in the Middle Of It All.
No problem...like and re-like
Thank you Sheila
Basically would I return? Yes, so rest incidentally really.
It doesn't seem to matter which part of Manhattan you are in people always say great location - but even my NY friends were like wow great location. Good transportation links close by, West Village is like old NY, not stayed in this area before but loved it. Very close to the High Line, quick walks up to the Chelsea galleries. Lots of new shops moving in, although often of the expensive kind but still lots of boutiques. There's even a row of English shops outside including a fish n chip shop!
Apartment as described no surprises, cozy on 5th floor, quite narrow stairs no lift. Very clean and sweet. Wifi worked, ever so slightly slow :) Heating seems to be controlled by building not individually which is common in NY.
The reservation was canceled 29 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a lovely stay int his cozy place. It had everything we need and couldn't have been in a better location. Thank you, Sheila.
We had a great time staying at Sheila’s apartment. The location is fantastic, apartment is very quiet. Sheila was very friendly and easy to contact both when I was booking and when we were staying there. Very flexible with arrival and departure times. Sheila also recommended some great local cafes and restaurants for us.
I met Sheila when she moved from DC a few years ago now (time flies!). She is fun and most awesome and a great artist.
Sheila and I have been friends since I met her through work over 6 years ago. She is an incredibly, kind, generous, and honest person with an amazing personality and sense of style.
I would not hesistate to recommend her on air bnb either as a guest or host. I know Sheila would take the greatest care with someone else's home and also make sure any guests at her place in New York have an incredible stay!
I have known Sheila since 2005, and over the years she has become a very dear and trusted friend. We originally met at a poetry writing group in DC and I soon discovered that she is very creative and dedicated visual artist (in addition to being a wonderful host). Her apartment in NYC is in a fantastic location, there are some very nice restaurants nearby, so one would be hard pressed to find a better spot.
