I am in China on a work exchange between the University of Melbourne and PKU (Peking University). To keep it short I teach people who are studying for a PhD how to get their PhD (and yes, I have a PhD, too). I am from Melbourne and this is my first time in Beijing. I like to be able to sleep well, and to experience a little of the places I go to when I travel. I like to have a clean, comfortable, and friendly home base to return to when I travel, and I am not really into partying - having a social chat with people, and talking about our travelling adventures, on the other hand, is certainly something I enjoy, and I love being able to try the local cuisine (and would like to learn to cook what ever's the local 'dish'!). In the week I have available (after being here for two weeks to work) I look forward to relaxing a little, and slowing the pace a little, and seeing what makes Beijing, Beijing, and finding some interesting people to talk to about travelling the world. I am happy to answer further questions you might have.
