Although new to airbnb, I have travelled widely and am a respectful, corteous guest. I love getting to know new cultures and people, which is part of why I love to travel. I began traveling as a child and have since seen parts of South East Asia, Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand and the USA, but there is always more I'd love to see. When traveling I make an effort to observe local customs and learn at least some local phrases so that I can be polite. I studied Spanish and French at University, which combined with my native English helps me get by in most places.
My husband David and I are amiable, considerate and fun people who find it easy to make new friends. We both love to explore new places, read and play games. We both enjoy cooking for others and enjoy experiencing new foods.
I have an ecclectic taste in music and films, but do enjoy something made with a bit of wit. I read a lot of murder mystery books and particularly like the Dr. Siri series, set in 1970s communist Laos, by Colin Cotteril - a very entertaining, expat writer.
I have had a variety of jobs in different fields over the years and have recently become a Primary School teacher. This job suits me well because I am a people person who always loves to help others.
