Vanesa and her mom were very kind and helpful- they were always responsive via text message and phone call, and their spoken English is excellent! True, it is a VERY small studio and there were actually 2 twin-size beds so the walking space was VERY tiny, but it is within a 5 minute walk north to the nearest beach access and has a private gated garden path where you can park your rental car so it's all good! If there is one complaint it would be that I think the window blinds were not completely able to close so I was sort of eaten alive by mosquitoes even with DEET and citronella candles.... no matter..... I guess it's the real Puerto Rican experience ;)
The wifi was also a bit spotty as the router has to be outside the apartment (the neighbor and Vanesa's apt need it, too!), so don't think you will be able to stream any movies in your down-time! All-in-all a very budget-friendly studio to stay in for 2 persons maximum. There could be more amenities as I had to buy my own hand soap, shampoo/conditioner/hairdryer/paper towels/dish detergent, but two bath and two hand towels were provided at least!
My sister and I stayed for 8 nights. Vanesa and her mother were nice and allowed a late check in and out (thanks again!). The room was small but all you need when you have a beach within walking distance. The most basic things were provided except for hand soap and dish soap. Location was great close to the beach and restaurants. A/C and hot water were great to have.
My experience here was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Everything in the apartment was clean, working and the location can't be beat. Close to everything one needs including the ocean. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
Vanessa and her mother were great. the apartment was as described and had everything we needed including towels. The neighborhood is nice, mostly residential and close to the beach, a great smoothie shop, and lots of good restaurants on Loiza St.
I really enjoyed staying at Vanesa's studio apt in beautiful Ocean Park. The studio was exactly what I was looking for, and everything worked out perfectly. The location is great, just minutes from the beach, a grocery store, and a 24-hour pharmacy. The beach is one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen!!
Vanesa, her mom, and their two friends, were always very kind, and helpful.
I am very thankful that they let me rent from them.
The location is good - two blocks away from the beach and park. There is a gated parking spot - which was very nice. The host was professional and nice. She was flexible and willing to work with our schedule to accommodate early check-in. We felt safe.
The room was small and had two twin beds. The beds were not very comfortable.
The tv was small and did not inspire us to use it...but you probably won't want to use it anyway with the beach right there.
Vanesa was a great host, she provided everything I needed for an awesome stay in San Juan. The studio is great, the beach is just down the street, and the weather is incredible. There isn't really a kitchen, and the space is pretty small, but it was well worth the reasonable price. I highly recommend this place to anybody looking to experience an island getaway on a budget.
The studio is clean and functional and you can't beat the price. My wife and I stayed for a week. Vanesa is very nice and was always available via phone or text when we had questions. The beach is a few blocks away and not so touristy or crowded. There is a Walgreens close by for essentials. And Kasalta, the local cafeteria, is excellent. We had a great time and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
We rented the apartment for 1 month and had a great experience. The apartment is basic, but comfortable and the rent price is very reasonable. We had a rental car and were able to park it in the gated driveway. The neighbors spoke English and were very nice and helpful. The location was excellent; near the beach, a park and the famous bakery Kasalta, The neighborhood was safe with lots of restaurants and stores within a few blocks. Buses were easily available. Would definitely stay there again!
My family and I stayed at this site for a week and had a great experience. The apartment is comfortable, clean, well-situated, and the neighbors are very friendly. It is close to a supermarket, the beach and local attractions. There is a vegetarian restaurant at Centro MAAM and a bakery called Kasalta on McCleary Street. Loiza Street is a block over with an excellent local restaurant called Molini's and an organic eatery named Kamoli. The old city is a short drive away and El Yunque is about a 45 minute drive via Route 66. We will definitely go back.
Fue una estadía cortita, pero muy buena persona. Dejó el cuarto limio y ordenado. 100% recomendable :)
Shariana was a great guest ! clean. quite - I'll be happy to have her as my guest again !
thank you, Shariana!
