I'm originally from England but have been here for decades.I love to travel, explore new places and love the personal touch. Feels like airbnb is the answer! People, theatre, art and being outdoors are some of my passions.

Everything was great and as expected. Sarah even allowed us to use an extra mattress due to an unexpected "surprise guest" who flew in for my birthday. Check in and check out was simple and trouble free. The house was walking distance to downtown, area restaurants and grocery stores. I went running each morning in the neighborhood and very much enjoyed my stay here!
This home was the perfect place to explore Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway from, and also to then come home to! Everything we needed was at the house and the fresh coffee and granola was an added bonus! Sarah was very helpful before our visit, calling to make sure we were all set and giving us the caretakers contact information since Sarah herself would be out of town. Overall, we had a great experience and wouldn't hesitate to go back to this bungalow!
Sarah's place is in an excellent location with easy access to downtown. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, etc. making it nice and easy to prepare meals in the home. The beds were comfortable and clean with two nice bathrooms. A cozy home and we had a great stay. We stayed during the winter--I imagine during other times of year you would have a beautiful view of the trees from the back porch.
We had a great stay at the bungalow I'm Montford. House is just as pictured and fit our needs to a tee. Sarah was a lovely person and was very accommodating and communicative. Merci encore, Sarah! Amusez-vous bien en Italie!
Merci Rachael! A bientot a Asheville, j'espere!
Upon our arrival Sarah left us the sweetest Valentines Day basket with cheese, crackers, bubbly and some wonderful chocolate. The house was clean and looked exactly like the pictures posted. The location was great and we all felt safe! We didn't walk because of the frigid temperatures but driving up the hill and parking would have made walking downtown a breeze. Sarah was easy to contact and answered any questions I had in a timely manner. Overall we had a nice quaint stay in the bungalow!
Glad you enjoyed yourselves despite the unusually (for Asheville) cold weather!
Had a great time at the Montford bungalow over a long weekend. House was very clean and we enjoyed the great location. Would definitely stay here again.
We were welcomed to the impeccably clean and bright Montford bungalow with freshly made beds, towels laid out for us and organic coffee with home made granola for our breakfast. The neighborhood is quiet, with quaint homes on the block that are nice to stroll around and look at. The home is conveniently situated less than 5 minutes drive from the Chamber of Commerce, which gave us a $10 discount per person on admission to the Biltmore Estate if you bought the tickets there.
We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend and we were able to cook a full 4 course dinner in the kitchen. We hung out in the living room on Thanksgiving, playing board games and just enjoying each others company. I thought not having a TV would be difficult, but it was not. We really enjoyed just hanging out. The beds were on the firm side, as were the pillows, but comfortable. The two full bathrooms allowed each couple the privacy we needed. The view off the back porch was nice, all trees, and we felt secluded even though we were on a block with a lot of homes.
Sarah the hostess was away at the time we stayed, but it did not matter one bit since we had everything we needed and no problems. Plus, she emailed me frequently before coming, recommending hiking trails, restaurants and other things to do in town. Her husband was available to us via cell phone if we needed anything, which we did not. They had a very concise folder with directions on opening up and closing the house which included only a few key tasks such as thermostat, refuse, linens and locking the door. It was very easy.
Asheville itself is an amazing town, no matter what the season, and I hope that you will stay in this great little home. I wish for all my future airbnb experiences to be as good as this one was. Thank you Sarah and Benoit!
Glad you enjoyed yourselves - and not having TV!
The host Sarah and her husband were extremely accomodating. While out of town, Sarah stayed in touch by email to make sure everything was taken care of and her husband was a phone call away to help in any way possible. The house is just as described, cozy, comfortable and accessible to downtown Asheville. I drove to town each day since I had to go all the way to the west end of town - However, with time, it would be a possible brisk walk. The neighborhood is charming and felt very safe.
I stayed for a total of 10 days during some freezing temperatures. The house stayed nice and warm. Nestled in a neighborhood, there is a lot of privacy and also, a driveway to park your car. So, I didn't have to look for a space on the road.
The kitchen is fully stocked. The beds are perfectly comfortable and warm. A washer and dryer are available for use so it was nice to take home clean clothes.
I would definitely stay there again!
Thanks Elodie, glad you enjoyed your stay and kept warm despite the cold weather.
Sarah left good information about the house, Asheville, and surrounding areas. We felt welcomed and appreciated. The house was exactly as pictured.
My husband, mother-in-law and I spent a wonderful long weekend at the Montford Bungalow in October 2014. The bungalow was exactly as expected with very comfortable beds and sitting room furniture. We found the whole house perfectly clean. The space was cozy and located on a nice quiet residential street, with great walking access to both downtown Asheville and the gallery district near the French Broad River. In addition, the house was conveniently located near the main highway for easy access to local attractions.
The hosts left helpful information with directions to nearby restaurants, stores, and the best way to town, as well as a jar of very tasty homemade granola. The hosts were very responsive to all communication both during the booking of the property, as well as during our stay. I look forward to having the opportunity to stay at the bungalow again either with family or another couple.
Sarah was a charming guest. Immaculate. Very gracious and someone I would host again in a minute. And so grateful for anything I did for her.
What wonderful guests! Sarah, Benoit, Lisa, and Bill couldn't have been friendlier or more considerate. It's always great to meet people who make you feel like instant friends...I'd be delighted to host them again any time.
Sarah and her husband were great guests... considerate, polite, and easy to host. I recommend them.
We had a wonderful time with Sarah and Benoit in our home. They are great conversationalists and have wonderful stories that are both fun and educational. We would highly recommend them to anyone, but hope they stay with us again when they come back to Atlanta!
