I've always loved welcoming people to my place, whether it's for a bowl of soup on a cold night, a cup of tea, or an overnight stay.
Looking forward to welcoming you.

Carey was an excellent host! First of all, she was very responsive to my request to stay, and when I arrived, she was very flexible about giving me the keys, and very welcoming. Her apartment is both gorgeous and extremely well-situated--there are a number of good restaurants within easy walking distance, as well as several subway lines. I would thoroughly recommend booking a trip with her.
Carey greeted me and everything that was promissed was delivered...my favorite part of my experience was the bed was perfect, I had slept like an angel. the neighborhood was quiet and street parking was easy. Careys home was clean and welcoming, it even had a recliner sitting chair to read and relax. Thank you for a wonderful visit. Scott
Carey's apartment is fantastic. It was one of the coziest, most relaxing rooms that I've visited in NYC. The bed is extremely comfortable, and there is little outside noise. It really feels like a traditional B&B. The location is great, especially if you need to get to the LIRR (which I like to take to/ from JFK). I would stay here again.
Carey has a very warm and comfortable home. The rental room is private and spacious for NY. The room is well appointed with your own reading chair, queen bed, and closet. The apartment is just outside of downtown Brooklyn and walking distance from several subway stops.
Carey was the most wonderful host. She clearly cares about her guest's wellbeing, made me feel very welcome and you could tell she thought of every detail in order for a guest to have everything they need. I particularly loved that she leaves umbrella's in the room for when the guests need them!
The room was a great size! Much better than other NY room's I've stayed in! Not only did I have space for my suitcases but I had a closet with plenty of space for my clothes, a table to work on and a lovely and comfy arm chair to sit in whilst I check the train times before I head out.
The location is great as it's 5 mins from the Q train which gets you to manhattan in 20 mins (or less). It's also much quieter than staying in manhattan - perfect for my work trip.
Overall I feel this is the ideal place to stay at if you plan to be in the city all day but value a restful night's sleep and to feel very comfortable and at home. If you want to go partying till early in the morning in the city however, I would perhaps not stay here.
Thank you Carey! I would definately love to stay here again in the future.
Perfect place to park your pack. Lovely private bedroom with comfy bed with plenty of pillows and comforter, and sitting chair next to actual bookshelves and books in 3rd floor walkup.
Carey was so accomodating when I lucked in to last minute show tickets and let me check in late after the show. The next day I was a convenient stroll to downtown Brooklyn, Fort Greene Park and a great restaurant I stumbled on called Walter's. The subway is only a 7 minute walk away, and less than 20 minutes to Times Square.
Did I mention she even asked about my day and how the show was and seemed honestly interested even though it was late? Next time I go to NYC I'll definitely be checking to see if Carey has availability for one or two (website hidden) Carey, next time I promise to be on time for check in and check out!
My stay with Carey was comfortable. The room was wonderful and Cary courteous. I would recommend staying with Carey to all who travel to New York City! Possible the best deal one would find.
Carey's hospitality and kindness was overwhelming. From the beginning, Carey was openly communicative and although she wasn't there to meet me she made sure I was able to enter the space with ease. Carey's space really is a city sanctuary. The location is only 2 blocks from the Atlantic Avenue/Barclays Centre stop (not to mention the Barclays Centre itself) so even in the frigid winter getting into Manhattan is a breeze. The apartment is near Target and other large stores so if you want to get groceries or other supplies you can. Fulton Street is a few blocks away and is full of great restaurants. Carey is an incredible and kind host, I have nothing but positive things to say. I started my New York move at Carey's and I couldn't have made a better decision. If you're looking for a place in Brooklyn, Carey's is it.
I enjoyed my time at Carey's place. It is ideally located, especially when you are traveling from JFK, since the LIRR stop is right around the corner. The bed is very comfortable and it was really quiet at night, such that your good sleep is guaranteed. Carey is very nice and helpful with finding your way around as well.
Carey's apartment is very clean and cozy, tucked away on a quiet block in Fort Greene. Although we actually saw very little of each other, she was very helpful and accommodating, letting me stop by early to pick up the keys. I was only in NY overnight for a concert nearby, but it was great to have such a comfortable place to stay. Thanks Carey for making my first airbnb stay such a positive experience!
