I grew up in Tuscany then travelled widely, to finally settle in the Mediterranean area because I love the people's warmth, the culture and the excellent cuisine.

We stayed 3 nights in Vaga's apartment in Rome. The place is a very nice and cosy little apartment (as showed in the pictures) in a nice ancient building. It is extremely well situated in the heart of the city (a few meters from piazza Campo dei Fiori, but in a quiet little street). The apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator but this was ok for us as we knew it before renteing the place. The building has a nice terrace (not privated) although we where a little bit disapointed as there was no table, as shown in the pictures, where we could have taken breakfast or a coffee. Other little disappointment is that when we arrived, nobody was there to welcome us. The lady who was supposed to give us the keys arrived 20 minutes later. We had to wait on the street, in front on the building. Also, one of the 2 keys provided for the apartment was broken when we arrived and the other key broke in the doorlock on the last day when we were leaving. Apart from that, the overall experience was very fine and this place is surely a nice place to stay to enjoy Rome. I would definitively recommand it.
Sleeping under the 600 years old roof in the mezzanine was such a charm! Perfect location to try out the local restaurants and get around the tourists attractions by foot. Would love to go back again!
What a charming location and apartment. It is wonderfully decorated and everything worked perfectly. The terrace is also a real gem, not exactly private but no one else every seems to go up to the surrounding decks.
Dafne was also great and helpful in getting us settled in.
We spent 2 weeks in Italy, staying (email hidden) along the way. My wife and I are not "true" backpackers, but we travel light and our board requirements are simply affordable, clean rooms, usually outside of the touristy areas.
Daphne's apartment was in the perfect Rome location, steps from Camp de Fiori, which transforms from a wonderful market to a bustling community at night, with happy hours and good restaurants off the square (the one's on the sq are decent, but touristy). Its close to the Pantheon and walkable (~20 min) to all other major sights - e.g., Vatican and Coliseum.
The apartment looks exactly like Daphne's pictures - no surprises. Its a studio-set up, with a semi-dividing wall between the bed and living space. Plenty of room for 2 people, if not more. It was quite clean and well-maintained, stocked with cooking supplies and working wi-fi. The bed was comfortable enough and the bathroom was clean and functional. In the nitpicky area, the pillows were flat as sheets (time for an upgrade) and the towels were rough as sandpaper, but small potatoes here, particularly for the price you pay. The rooftop space was simple, patio chairs and a table, but available to you at all hours.
All-in-all, well worth the price and a highly recommended stay. Daphne was also easily reachable by text/phone, making connecting with her once getting to Rome easy. If you are looking for an affordable and clean place to stay in a true, old Rome location, consider this apartment. We'd certainly stay here again.
One quick heads-up. When checking-in, ask Daphne to show you how to open the door, as it is a bit tricky and you won't want to be left without a way in!
Perfect location and it worked pretty well for our family. Only issue is that the bathroom wasn't clean and there was no toilet paper anywhere in the apartment. Also, would recommend for two people since second mattress in upstairs loft is tricky to reach.
Fantastic apartment and experience in Rome at Dafne's apartment. It was extremely hot during our stay and the air conditioned worked perfectly for us throughout our stay. There were three of us total staying it was plenty of space.
Location was phenomenal in Campo de Fiori.
Would definitely stay here again.
Location is incredible, rooftop terrace simply couldn't have been better, Dafne was so communicative, and very (website hidden) works like a charm, which is important in stifling-hot Rome in July. Great for two couples that don't mind sharing a relatively tiny space. Bathroom is really nice. Only thing to be aware of - the apartment is small. We affectionately referred to it as our local shoebox. Long as you're looking for a place to sleep comfortably and shower while in Rome, you cannot beat this apartment in terms of convenience, location, and.... I'll say it again, its rooftop terrace!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Dafne was friendly, easy to communicate with, provided clear instructions and met us at the apartment. Dafne also provided a booklet with instructions and tips which was helpful. The apartment was exactly as described and located in an area close to restaurants, shops, the river and a market. We would definitely stay at the apartment if visiting Rome in the future and recommend to visitors.
we had a wonderfull time in Dafnes Appartment. it is totally quiet but in the very heard of Rome. you can do your sightseeing by walking. the apartment is small but well equipped, very clean and new. be careful with young kids because the second bed is on the mezzanine with small stairs and open . we had a very warm (german) wellcome with Dafnes Cousin who helped also very kindly to find the way by car and carry the luggage. thank you again.
great welcoming !!!cosy ,comfortable ,well decorated flat and very well located!
we travelled with a 7-month-old baby and we had a great holidays!!!an address and a host we should recommend!a very trustworthy host!
Dafne was our first guest with Airbnb, and we couldn't have a better one! Very sweet, easygoing, fun, and she even cooked us a fantastic goodbye meal! Thank you Dafne! hope to see you again somewhere!
