Carlos is a liar. I called him twice on the number that was provided by Airbnb on the itinerary. We did exactly has his instruction suggested for opening the door and when the door wouldn't open we immediately called Carlos and left an answer phone message as well as texting him through the number provided by Airbnb at the same time.
How he can say we failed to communicate with him when he actually replied, unfortunately far too late for it to help us. As we were stuck in the middle of San Francisco with all the luggage we had for a month in the US and a rental car that needed to be returned.
Carlos showed no concern for us and never apologised for giving us the incorrect code. Carlos did email us a week later accusing us not contacting him and of being unable to follow these instructions: "To unlock: Dial the code and turn the knob to open the door". This was incredibly insulting as we both did exactly as instructed and I have phone records of the two calls I made and will have to pay for those expensive phone calls as I had to use my UK mobile. Carlos took no responsibility and comes across as a very unhelpful and arrogant person. I would never stay in his property and suggest no one else should as if there is an issue I wouldn't want to deal with Carlos to sort it out.
I hope Carlos enjoys spending the money he got for providing absolutely no service what so ever. Disgrace!
