Really nice experience, the apartment is5 minutes walk far from Santa Croce square,it is very spacious and beautiful
We were met by Stefano and he was very helpful with lots of information about Florence. The apartment is very big and very close the Central Market. It is also a short (10-15 min) walk from the main train station. There are lots of good restaurants around and the area is very nice to wander around. We ate in a couple of nights and the kitchen was well stocked. Stefano generously provides a huge range of teas and coffee and cake and biscuits upon arrival. We would highly recommend this apartment. The apartment booking is through Mine though it is owned by Stefano. It would be useful to inform those staying in the apartment that there is a city tax (2 euro per person) that has to be paid to the owner. Luckily we had sufficient cash on hand to pay Stefano when we arrived late at night.
My girlfriend Susan her daughter me and my son had a wonderful time in Florence primarily due to the location of Mine's place. We enjoyed the upstairs very comfy bed - the ceiling is a little low - and the pullout bed downstairs did make movement a little cramped - but manageable. Towels and sheets and pillows were excellent. Fantastic ***** communication and introduction from Mine and coordination for getting us into the unit which was as described - superb location (could let the sleeping issues go simply for this reason) We both would highly recommend this apartment but would think it is better suited and would be far spacier and comfortable for 2 people.
Thanks for your help，Mine. And thanks for Stefano.Everything is good！The cake is so delicious！
We loved our time in Florence!
First of all, Mine was very helpful with providing detailed directions to travel from the train station to the apartment, as this was a little overwhelming for me being new to Italy. Prior to our arrival she also looked into bookings at the Uffizi Gallery for me, and provided information on buying a traveler's SIM card (although we really needed the card when we arrived in the evening to be able to contact her, and the shop was closed by then).
We were met at the apartment by Mine's brother's girlfriend, who was very sweet and helpful.
The apartment was as described, and very clean (sparkling bathroom tiles especially!) with 2 comfortable beds, not quite as bright as I'd imagined, but great for the old apartments of the region. I'm not quite sure where you'd fit the third bed that's advertised in the listing - it would be a squeeze for sure. The elevator was very welcome, especially for my 82 year-old mother who was with me!
There were some nice touches with the decor too, such as the lovely violin on the wall.
The location was fabulous, just a short walk to the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi and many other attractions. The apartment itself was quiet, but so conveniently located.
When we arrived it was nice to be able to eat in the charming family-owned restaurant at the front door too, after a big day of travel. There was a fabulous supermarket around the corner, and several excellent leather shops within 50 metres of the apartment (I got a great deal on some leather from Massimo at Matiar across the road at number 21!)
The only down sides were:
- the second bed had inadequate bedding, with no top sheet and only 2 very small blankets, so I was cold until the second night when Mine's brother brought more blankets.
- the shower was a pain, because it had no bracket to hold it up, so washing hair while staying warm and keeping the bathroom dry was a challenge.
- the Wi Fi connection was frustratingly weak.
All in all, I'd definitely stay there again and recommend it - thank you, Mine!
Wow! What an historical location on Piazza della Signoria with an ideal view of Palazzo Vecchio, Loggia dei Lanzi, and (the copy of) Michaelangelo's David. The location benefits and proximity to sights are too numerous to list. The apartment was charming, spacious, clean, surprisingly quiet (with the windows closed) and perfectly comfortable for my parents, my friend and me. Mine and Francesca provided exactly what we needed. I have no hesitation recommending this apartment.
Great location, beautiful accommodation, everything was very nice...
The apartment was wonderful. Begin with the location: it has one of the best views possible in the city of Florence, and is only a short walk over either the Ponte Vecchio or the Ponte Santa Trinita to the Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio, and other attractions. And, on the apartment’s side of the Arno are the Pitti Palace, the Boboli Gardens, and the Brancacci Chapel.
There are extremely good restaurants on Borgo San Jacobo itself.
The apartment not only is large, it has a fully functioning kitchen, including a full size refrigerator and a gas stove, pots and pans, dishes and flatware. Also, it’s barely a city block away is a great supermarket.
Stefano, who met us at the door and showed us the apartment, couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. He made several dining and shopping recommendations to get us started, and, when we had difficulty opening one window, and he had it fixed the next day.
Do pay attention when Stefano explains where to take the trash.
We loved this apartment. It was in the perfect location for Florence. The one queen bed and two twins were perfect for four people.
Mine responded very fast and was very clear about payment. She was also easy to meet up with.
We would definitely stay here again!
Mine was a very good host. She gave tips on places to go, things to do and even provided a map. The apartment was great and had everything we needed. Plus it was very clean and charming. The location was great! Definitely recommend staying here.
Mine was perfect quest ..i hope we meet again
