Gian Battiste is very pleasant host, the cleaning is done every day. It's a very nice room in a beautiful picturesque village. We really enjoyed our stay.
Gian Battista è stato un host molto attento e disponibile nel suggerirci itinerari insoliti e mozzafiato!
La camera molto carina, pulita e nel pieno centro di Vernazza.
Very nice and clean room, near the seaside in such a heavenly town
One of my best experience in Italy.Stay there just simply made my trip comfortable and enjoyable
This is the perfect apartment in Vernazza! So comfortable, clean, with a perfect location. John met us at the train stop and helped bring our heavy luggage up into the room. They did a beatiful job cleaning the room everyday which was an unexpected plus. Over all perfect!
Gian's room in Vernazza was exquisite. I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and well kept. I really appreciated Gian meeting us at the train station even after we were delayed by late trains. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to stay in Vernazza!
We had a great time at Gian and Armanda's place. It is a very cozy private apartment. Vernazza is small so the apartment is close to everything; however, we stayed in November and many restaurants in the area were closed for low season. Lots of steps to get to the place but they were well worth the exercise.
Also, our train was delayed twice, but Armanda met us at the train station when we finally arrived at 8:30pm to walk us to the apartment.
Gian was great! He was quick to respond and met us at the train station to walk us to our room - he even offered to carry my wife's backpack! Due to the low-season and rain, Gian offered us a free upgraded room. It was AMAZING. Very modern and clean - more like a friendly boutique hotel than your typical Airbnb - they turn over your room during the day while you're away. Highly recommended!
I had such a wonderful stay in Vernazza! The town is so quaint, friendly and absolutely beautiful. The room is very clean and well appointed - everything you could need for a perfect and relaxing stay. Gian was incredibly friendly and his mother, Armanda, was so lovely and accommodating - she even met me at the train station and walked me to the room. I would without a doubt recommend staying here and I would absolutely do so myself in the future.
Gian'a room is right in the center of vernazza and close to everything you might need during your stay. The room was clean and cosy and we enjoyed a lot the little balcony in the street. Gian is nice and extremely helpfull, he even left us a special cellphone only to call him in case of any trouble!
We called Gian when we got to the train station, and he was there within minutes to help us with our luggage and show us to the room. Yes, it is several flights of stairs up, but it's Vernazza and was expected. It was nothing we couldn't handle. After a very long train ride from Venice, his place was a warm and cozy place to settle into. The room is impeccably clean and looks just like it does in the pictures. We appreciated the little luxuries such as having a big comfy comforter, a water kettle with an assortment of tea/coffee to choose from, as well as the complementary shampoo (bring conditioner if you use it).
Wifi and heater worked great, and unlike previous Airbnb places we have stayed at, we never had any issues with a lack of hot water in the shower. We were very surprised to learn that he comes over on a daily basis to clean the room, so it was nice returning from a day of hiking to see the bed made and the towels replaced.
Gian and Armanda live right next door, so if there any issues (which there were none) he can be over quickly. He even gave us a cell phone to use since apparently reception is not the greatest in the Cinque Terre. He was a wonderful host, giving us a rundown of the town and where to eat when we got there. He even gave us access to his beautiful sea-side terrace that belongs to the other property he manages.
The only negatives I have to say is that the bed was a bit stiff for my liking (personal preference - it really is ridiculously comfy), and I wish we were given hand soap. We ended up using shower gel which we brought along, so it wasn't a big deal but would have been nice to have. We checked out earlier than the checkout time, so we called him to let him know as a courtesy in case he needed it cleaned ASAP for other travelers. He was very appreciative and even asked if we needed help carrying our luggage back to the train station.
Overall I would give Gian and his room in Vernazza more stars if I could! The town is small, so it is very close to everything. If you are looking to save money on a hotel but still want the luxury of a nice place, don't bother looking anywhere else. Book now before someone else does!
