I was looking for a private apartment for my 2 week stay, but Marco let me know that he would be occupying the apartment for most of the same time. He reduced the price and I accepted. He's up and off to work very early so I rarely saw him in the morning.
The stay was very much like staying at a friend's place. The accommodations are as pictured, but not perfectly clean and slightly more cluttered.
The location was great for me. A quiet neighborhood not far from the park and a nice walk to the station through neighborhood streets. There are plenty of stores an shops near the local station.
Marco is very friendly and a great host. We were able to go out and grab some dinner on a couple of occasions.
A nice, spacious apartment in a pleasant neighborhood.
Spacious, well appointed, spotlessly clean and airy ground floor apartment facing onto a lovely big park in a proper residential neighbourhood, with a great shopping and dining strip nearby.
One subway change to the main Yamanote (circle) line, to most of the locations you will want to see in Tokyo.
Marco is an engaging, sophisticated and thoughtful host, with excellent English, Cantonese and Japanese, and a broad range of interests. He knows Tokyo intimately and we enjoyed his company immensely.
This was a fantastic experience for us - as well as for our 18 year old son. We felt very lucky to stay there and even more so to spend some time with the delightful Marco.
A pity I didn't get to meet Marco due to his work and his year end trip. However check-in wasn't a problem at all as we coordinated through email. He was really helpful and patient throughout for answering our questions and giving us suggestions.
This apartment is one of the coolest I've stayed in till date. The interior is as how the picture depicts, stylish and clean. It is quite a view to see from the massive glass windows of lush greens and people out and about working out in the morning. All equipment in the house works just fine. No fuss at all.
Just beside the nearest station, Musashikoyama, is the longest indoor shotengai in Tokyo called Palm. You can get your daily nitty gritty there like 100yen stalls, cheap and delicious eatery, supermarket, almost everything really. If you're back late and the shotengai is closed, there is a convenience shop outside the station to get what you need before heading back too.
Would definitely stay here again!
Marco's place in Musashikoyama provided the perfect base for our ten day trip to Tokyo. Situated right next to a peaceful park, the location provides an excellent escape from the hustle and bustle of areas like Shibuya, which is only 15 minutes away on the train.
Marco was the perfect host. He was on hand to help with everything from providing emergency clothing when one of our suitcases went missing to providing amazing coffee to recommending the best neighborhood soba.
The apartment was spacious, clean and full of handy gadgets like a pocket wifi connection that we took with us all over the city. We cannot recommend the place highly enough. Thank you Marco, we hope to be back one day soon!
Marco's very nice host. He help me to make a BD surprise to my friend when we're arr. the apt.
Marco's place is clean and nice. Everything we needed was provided. feel like stay home when stay here.
I would definitely recommend this place as a must go. :)
I'll back again.
MARCO is the BEST! shame for me that I couldn't get to know him more, but he was kind, helpful and very easy to communicate. Would love to stay at his place again!!! Thanks MARCO, let's stay in touch! find me on (website hidden)! David H.S Lee!
Fantastic spot. The house is clean and very spacious by tokyo standards. The park / forest is literally a few meters away; we had breakfast there several times during our stay. Marco and his caretaker, Manuel, are very friendly and responsive.
The apartment had everything we needed. The pocket wi-fi device was really an essential perk too. We used that everywhere for maps and translations on my iphone.
The only downside is that it is on the Tokyu Meguro line which means at least 1 transfer to get to most popular places.
We absolutely loved having Marco and his guest staying with us- we have no complaints.
Marco- you're welcome at Oasis Africa BnB anytime!
Marco and his gorgeous girlfriend are the perfect guests. Delightful, polite, quiet, clean, tidy and lots of fun. We would recommend them to anyone.
Marco and Minami (sp?) were a delight to have stay with us, such a friendly and lovely couple. Left the apartment in perfect condition.
