The flat is beautiful and the description listed matched everything in the flat. I stayed there for 4 nights with 2 other friends and we had a comfortable stay.
The only drawback of the place was that on our last night there was no electricity and the place didn't have any sort of backup generators. We had to fight off mosquitoes all night. Although I called up Patrick at 4 in the morning and he picked up the call and spoke to me nicely.
Patrick's mother made arrangements to meet us and bring us to the property, hand over the keys and show us around. She was very welcoming.
Patrick was accessible via phone the entire trip, however, we never had the chance to meet in person. Since the apartment is a privately owned property in a resort we checked in with the hotel reception. The hotel staff were pretty unhelpful and unfriendly. Obviously not Patrick's fault, but it was unfortunate that he couldn't be there. The listing description was accurate - spacious apartment and great for a beach vacation. The location is perfect for Candolim. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby. It's also a quick walk to the beach. One of my guests fell ill and had to go to the hospital which was close by as well - definitely a plus for travelers to keep in mind.
Great location, helpful host, close to beach and restaurants, perfect for relaxed beach travelers - would recommend!
No wifi (as mentioned on listing), AC unit didn't work well and only available in main bedroom, dealing with hotel staff throughout stay, water and electricity unavailable a few times during the stay
The Place was nice inside the complex and it is 10 mins walk from the beach and 5 min from the Newtons Store. It has a good view overlooking the swimming pool. Patrick was responsive and co-operative. It is idle for a small family with kids.
Patrick helped us locate the apartment and give us keys. The apartment was pretty good and decent.
My parents stayed at Patrick's apartment for 3 days. The place was exactly as it looks in the picture. Close to the beach and easy access to shops. Nice and safe location to stay...
Only problem was, there was no lift, so it was a bit difficult for my parents to climb up everyday... There was also no TV / internet. But these things were mentioned in the listing, so its not any one's fault...
Overall nice place to stay...
Patrick was a great host, although we didn't meet him he was very helpful in his directions to our cab driver. The apartment is ideal, just as it appears in the pictures and is fantastic value for money. While it is located right amongst the bustle of Candolim, only a few minutes walk to the beach, the hotel complex the apartment is located in is a quiet little haven to escape from the throng. Definitely recommended.
Though I didn't get a chance to visit this time, my friends did and they felt most welcome and had great fun.
I will be definitely coming and staying at Patrick's when I get a chance again.
I liked the apartment. It was neat, tidy and functional- just what we needed! Patrick and his family very warm and hospitable, always ready to help. The location was perfect for us, close to the Candolim beach with other beaches and things to do within reasonable distances.
Although I didn't get to meet Patrick and his mother Mimi on this trip, they were both very warm in welcoming us to stay in their lovely apartment. The apartment was just right for the two of us and could have easily fitted two more. Centrally situated in Candolim, it was very easy for us to commute to the nearby beaches - Calangute, Baga etc. We spent some time in the pool side restaurant too. We loved the fact that it had a microwave so we could make cup-o-noodles at 5 AM :)
Patrick and his friends were friendly and uncomplicated guests. The communication was easy because he called me everytime just a few minutes later when we needed to arrange something. He took care of the flat and left it clean and tidy. Always welcome back!
