Right now living in Savannah, GA but previous residents of Brooklyn. Husband grew up in Philly. We're both artists. I make jewelry and he's a painter.
I grew up in Colorado and got my undergrad at Colorado State University in Ecotourism and Geology. Then I moved to New Jersey and worked for the NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection. Then I met Greg, in Brooklyn, and changed jobs to work in Manhattan as a private consultant. After a few years of that, I convinced Greg that we should quit our jobs and travel. We bought a car and started with a road trip. We first went south to New Orleans, with lots of stops in between, then out to Colorado where we left the car. We found a guy on Craigslist who was driving to Mexico, so we caught a ride with him. The next 3 months we took trains and busses from there through Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras. In Honduras, we island hopped for a month. Then we came back to the states and lived and traveled around North America for the next 2 years. That's when I decided to go back to school and learn metalsmithing to make jewelry.
Our dream is to start and artist residency on a farm with goats and make cheese.
