Heaven!!! We thought we had seen it all with our Airbnb experiences (see my review of Seville and Cordoba) but with this house we moved into another level. Sure it cost a little more but it is Lake Como. Dmitri and Hans have the most beautiful house in the most wonderful location. When we looked at the photos we wondered if they might be exaggerating the view and proximity to the lake. When we arrived, however (following Dmitri's perfect instructions) we realised that if anything the pictures didn't do it justice - we were breath-taken. On our first day we couldn't bring ourselves to leave the house! The location is enough in itself but that's not all Dmitri provides. This is a beautifully appointed house where everything matches; a house that screams love and attention. Dmitri and Hans are so attentive and generous, words fail me. We caught the local bus to the house (make sure you check the timetable carefully - it works fine but knowledge is very useful.
A word of advice for non-Europeans. If you want to be close to the Lake you have to work for the privilege. Steps are the order of the day but the climb is absolutely worth it.
Thank you Dmitri and Hans for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home. This visit is a highlight of our extended holiday. We will cherish our memories.

We went to Como Lake for joint holiday of two families, and my parents, sister and her partner stayed at Dmitri's place. It was 100% like shown on the pictures! We loved the view - which is simply incredible. The standard of all furnishings, the kitchen and the bathroom are excellent. There was nothing we ever missed.
But the most amazing part was the location: it is a short walk to beautiful and quiet beaches (yes, plural - there were a couple of bays!), and the village is easily one of the prettiest that I have seen: an impressive castle right next to it, narrow cobblestone streets, old houses with lots of character. And very few people! We probably would have missed this town if we had not stayed there, as the main road does not go through it. (That said, you should not mind stairs if you want to stay there)
Even though the other part of the family stayed in a nearby town, we always met in Rezzonico to go for a swim there.
And last but not least, Dmitri is such a nice and caring host: he explained everything in detail when we arrived, checked during our stay that everything was ok, and always responded in lightning speed to emails!
Thanks for helping make our family holiday such a memorable one!
Chris and I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Dmitri, but all communication pre-arrival and post was easy. When Chris and I returned back to the flat, it was super clean - almost as if no one had even stayed here! We would definitely recommend Dmitri to any host.
Was a wonderful house guest that I would welcome back anytime.
Dmitri was a very nice guest, it was a shame that the weater were so bad during his stay so they had to leave a day earlier, but still it was nice to meet him and hope that he comes back some day.
