Hamish was a great host and has an awesome place in King's Beach! He gave us some key tips for our trip a well such as which beach to go to during the crowded weekend- we ended up going all three days! Would definitely stay there again.
This was a great place a short drive from the lake. Hamish was super helpful and responsive. Thanks Hamish!
Hamish was very helpful and his studio is very handily laid out and quite enjoyable to stay in. Two of us stayed in the bed, but the couch is also perfectly comfortable to sleep on as well, and he has added a very picturesque dining table that isn't featured in these photos! Extremely close to the downtown/beach/happening area in Tahoe City and would definitely recommend this as a place to crash for a few nights while trying to explore the area. Great!
Great spot to soak up the serenity that Tahoe has to offer. Clean, easy, and great location. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Hamish!
Hamish's studio condo is absolutely perfect; quaint, cozy and comfortable. It was in an amazing location to access everything on the North Shore but in the middle of the woods. It was fully stocked with everything we needed, and was our launch pad for an awesome summer Tahoe trip with great access to kayaking, hiking, and amazing beaches. We will absolutely be back, our plan is for a winter trip to ski, and crash at this awesome ski pad.

Very clean and tidy studio with a very cozy feel. We love the fireplace, cute kitchen, and nice bathroom. It was nice to have the option of making a small meal if we didn't want to go out to eat. The hot tub in the club house is also a bonus after a day of skiing.
We also really love the location - extremely convenient to Northstar (10 mins) as well as restaurants and a grocery store in Kings Beach. We usually stay in Truckee, but Kings Beach is more chilled and prettier (with the lake view) than Truckee. There is an amazing breakfast place called Log Cabin Cafe in Kings Beach which serves some of the best griddle cakes and cajun eggs benedict.
The place is literally close to perfect except for 2 things:
(1) Walls are thin and we can hear the floor above us creaking all the time including into the early morning when someone shifts in their bed. Not the owner's fault obviously - just a building construction issue. Might be an issue if you are a light sleeper.
(2) This is more of a minor point: Would be nice to have a small shelf to put our clothes in...even though we are OK with living out of our suitcase.
Overall, we do love the place and its location. Hamish was a very responsive host with our pre-arrival questions.
great cabin, excellent for the ones looking forward to focus on the slopes. It's tiny but very cozy, with the fireplace and everything. Thumbs up for the club where you can enjoy a super relaxing hot tub after a long day of snowboarding, as well pool table, ping pong, fireplace, etc. Super cool. And it's really close to Northstar resort, less then 5 minutes by car and you're entering the resort gates.
Small, but quaint place to stay. Perfect for a weekend with the guys. Had a great time. Would definitely stay there again.
We had such a great stay! It's conveniently located right down the road from Northstar and 8 mins from Safeway. Perfect size for one couple! Would definitely stay here again. A little overpriced for what it is, but it was during the holidays, so no complaints!
