I never had an issue with John's identification requests and I take issue with his assertion that I did not read his emails. I understand that he needs to know who he is dealing with prior to letting them into the apartment. While none of my previous Airbnb hosts had asked me to sign an agreement, during check in I did sign John's agreement. I only had a concern with the last minute apartment change. I wish that John had directed us to his alternative apartment information on Airbnb so that we would have had upfront assurance about the new place in the Airbnb format, rather than direct us to his own web site. The new apartment was at the Borough tube stop (one stop further out), not the London Bridge stop. Ultimately we had a good week in his apartment but I have been spoiled by extremely smooth bookings during prior Airbnb engagements so my expectations were high.
