Charming cottage in rural Leicestershire - and a stones throw from the local pub. Heartily recommend!

Perfect little cottage for a relaxing get away, amazing location, a real gem. The cottage had everything you need, we cooked dinner and breakfast there and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will likely visit again one day :)

What a little gem! I regularly stay in AirBnB's and I have to say, this is my absolute favourite! From location, to hosts, from the decor to the views. There was absolutely nothing I didn't like. A fabulous large bath, big wrap around towels, a gorgeously warm towel rail and that's just the bathroom! The bedroom was quaint and cosy - authentic bed, little seat with wall mounted dressing table and mirror and the squeaky floorboards just added to it's charm, hee hee. The living area was…

Fabulous cottage. Great location. Lots of pubs close by with delicious food and great personal touches in a beautiful cottage. Cosy and warm on a really chilly night. Would definitely recommend.

Great little place, very cosy little cottage with log burner and spacious bathroom; all Made for a very relaxing weekend. The host provided some lovely homemade preserves, fresh local milk and home baked loaf which were great !

Shepherd's Rest is a tastefully renovated apartment in a charming village. Nicola and Craig were friendly and welcoming hosts providing homemade bread, jams, butter and local milk. It is a comfortable and peaceful place to stay with country lanes and footpaths right outside the door.

The bed could be a lot more comfortable, and don’t attempt the sofa-bed or you’ll be severely lacking sleep and walking funny the next day, but I’m sure Nicola will change that. A beautiful cottage in many respects that, with a couple of tweaks, could be a great stay. TIP - turn the heating onto constant via the boiler in the bathroom otherwise it does get quite chilly overnight! And beware the noisy cider-drinkers in The Bell!
