Hello! My name is Fabiola (which was inspired by my sister's imaginary friend)! I have lived in a few different places including Mexico, El Paso, Austin, Oklahoma City, and Milwaukee. Currently I live in Dallas, TX where my favorite destination is the farmer's market.

I've tried my hand at a number of careers including engineering, sales, education, and now I am in medical school, which is what brought me to Dallas. I am a total dork, love learning, and getting to know people.

My favorite traveling experience is a family vacation I took to Copper Canyon/Sierra Madre, Mexico when I was 14 years old. We (my family and I) love unplanned vacations, so we packed our car and just drove through the mountainous terrain to our destination without any reservations. It turned out to be quite an adventure!

Other than traveling, I also like running, eating, cooking (mostly Mexican food), history, learning about different cultures, and medicine. My favorite books revolve around those interests and include Caramelo by Sandra Cisneros, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, Devil in the White City by Erik Larson and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot.

Laughing is probably my favorite thing to do and so I love cheesy, funny movies. My favorite movies are Zoolander and Ratatouille (a cartoon about a mouse chef).

The things I cannot live without are my ear plugs (for sleeping), music (for dancing), my books (for learning and entertainment), food (literally and figuratively), and exclamation marks!!!! I am really easy going and try not to sweat the small stuff. As such, I am not too picky about my living accommodations when I travel. As a guest, all I really care about is having a bed to sleep in!

Finally, my life motto is "Don't worry, by happy!"
