Currently living in Albany, California, having returned to the Bay Area, after a 30 year temporary "exile". My husband is an IT professional working for a large corporation but was previously in nonprofit management (theatre), with a degree in Social Anthropology and I graduated from UC Berkeley and was a social worker for a short time. Emigrated to the UK, and lived in London for 6 years and Scotland for 3 years with first husband, a composer. My daughter is a costumer, ran away and joined the circus (Cirque du Solieil) for 5 years and is based in London. After a 20 year detour in the food business( owned restaurants in London, Mpls and worked at restaurant/ catering in SF ).,I returned to my social work roots and began another career in philanthropy, working at all types of foundations Have volunteered extensively in the community for arts organizations, social service organizations for women and social change organizations. I was born in Japan, though some might consider me a sansei (3rd generation) as my grandparents immigrated to CA and my mother was born in Alameda..

I work for social justice, and believe in equality for all people. I also work because travel is my avocation, our latest trip last year was to Turkey, our first time there and we loved it, and return trips to the Netherlands and London. Family, friends, good health, satisfying work, and pleasure are important to me. Becoming a widow at 32 with a six year old child to raise, I realized that life cannot be taken for granted and pleasure should not be delayed,.
We are travelers - not tourists, and have reached a point in life, where comfort is essential while traveling.
