Joan is a wonderful, sweet lady that I am so happy to say is our first repeat guest, and I am hoping to have her repeat again!
Joan was an excellent guest to have at our home. We would welcome her back in a heart beat!
I so enjoyed having Jean stay at my house. She is clean, tidy, personable, pleasant to have around. You could not ask for a better house guest.
It was good to have hosted Joan. She is an intelligent, working professional who communicated and organized well before, during, and days after her stay. Joan left the room clean and paid her remaining balance promptly. Additional, important communication was needed for many reasons: 1. It made her work related trip and stay productive, relaxing (less stress), and trouble-free: 2. Public transportation delayed her several times (overall, ~50 or more minutes). Joan updated me regularly, so that we could reschedule her initial check-in time a few times. 3. Consequently, Joan selected last minute the direct residence to work place ride that I had previously offered her. 4. During the 35+ minute ride, Joan informed me that she needed to complete preparatory work. We then kept silent for a while, more than enough time for Joan to complete it. 5. Seeing the heavy very slow or stand still traffic on the commonly taken roads, I took alternative, local roads while pointing out the sightseeing place that Joan wanted to see. Fortunately, we avoided most of the traffic and made it to her first informal, scheduled meeting in time (or within a few minutes). If stuck in traffic, Joan would have missed most of or her entire preparatory meeting and possibly her first main event. 6. Joan said she might need a ride back from the event. When she did not contact me late into the night, I contacted her to make sure she was not stranded. 7. Later, Joan noted all her work events throughout her stay went well. Good job, Joan! 8. I am also glad that she enjoyed her own sightseeing visits. 9. For my guests, I offer services (e.g. rides) that airbnb officially does not offer. Airbnb then is not responsible for their payments. I accept credit cards, along with other payment methods, for these outside of airbnb services. 10. As a friendly reminder, Joan wanted to use her credit card to pay her remaining balance (ride, etc.), because she gets card points. She also wanted to save money. Consequently, I requested Joan's credit card and she gave it to me. 11. I recommended to Joan that we first arrange payment through airbnb resolution, because it fulfilled her requests and made the payment process even easier and better (no card convenience fee) for Joan. Currently, airbnb allows payments between guests and hosts for airbnb and nonairbnb related transactions through airbnb resolutions. 12. However, airbnb resolutions can only be used once at this time, or may not work (e.g. website down). If necessary, I would charge Joan's credit card directly. 13. Instead of unnecessarily talking more about logistics, Joan could concentrate on her work, relax. or sight see. 14. After checkout, I found 2 pieces of clothing left inside the room and first contacted Joan. Because Joan said they were hers and important for work, I had to further communicate with Joan and make sure they were returned to her. 15. Joan is welcome to come and stay again.
Very very nice, tidy clean and responsible guest. Highly recommended
Joan was a pleasure to host. She has a wonderfully soft American accent and is a very interesting person to chat to. All in all an ideal guest, respectful, quiet and tidy. I would certainly welcome Joan back any time and have no problem recommending her to other hosts.
