Had a wonderful experience, Grit and Marvin were a joy and very accommodating to our late arrival. They gave us a lovely tour of the 200 acres that the property is on. Great destination to visit of you want to be away from the city. Wish we had more time to be on the property but already had plans to visit Blarney Castle. Marvin is adorable and knows how to entertain his guests.
We enjoyed every bit of our stay at Grit's place.
She was very kind and generous but lighting the fire the night of our (late!) arrival for the hot showers, by taking us for a lovely walk around the farm, offering some delicious soup in the evening and even giving us her lovingly tendered herbs.
We had such a great night sleep, the beds are comfortable and rooms cosy. Breakfast was a feast - with home baked bread, freshly made hummus and homemade elderberry jams just to name a few.
The houshold felt very peaceful and friendly. Grit's lttle son made our time so cheerful and the dog and a cat were very friendly too.
It took us a while to find the place but it was so worth it!
Thank you Grit!

Grit made us feel very welcome right away and she provided amazing food for us. Her son was adorable and fun to play with. If you are looking for a nice, quiet get away from the city, this is the perfect place. There was also a gorgeous nature walk a 10 minute drive away. The rooms were very comfortable, too.
Grit and and her handsome little Malvin were great hosts the converted barn house was adorable and very cosy, Sleeping in Grit's house was so much better than I sleep at home I wish I could stay for a month. The organic food she gave me was much appreciated and lovely . I would love to visit again if possible. Thank you guys and good luck with your house hunting
They are very nice and welcoming girls, the younger is the real house owner, be aware to her toys!!!
Thank you Grit!
Grit was very nice to welcome us so late, as she was putting her son to bed. We had a wonderful night sleep and a simple, but filling breakfast. It was very nice to chat with her in the morning. Her dog and cat were very friendly.
We had such a wonderful stay at Grit's place! She, her son, and the animals made us feel so at home and welcomed. The place was very quiet and helped us to unwind a little during our travels. Grit provided us with a wonderful breakfast - she even accommodated my vegan diet - and some traveling tips for the rest of our journey.
We would surely love to visit again.
Very much enjoyed the stay. Warm and comfortable bed. grit and her son are lovely. Safe place and amazing garden!
