Lovely comfortable cosy, cottage, great location.
Had a fabulous stay at Bill's cottage and would recommend it to anyone. Very comfortable and spacious with all mod cons. Bill's brother Karl met me in Ballywater village so I could follow him to the cottage, very helpful as it might have been a struggle to find otherwise! He was on call for the whole duration of my stay but didn't need him as I had everything that I needed. Would love to go back one day and spend more than just a weekend there.
The cottage just south of Ballywater is truly very nice, it's very complete, nice, clean, cosy, spacey, and great views!! The owner very helpful! Lovely to come 'home' after a day in Belfast or after touring around!
We had a great stay at Bill's cottage over xmas. It was a bit cold in the house but Bill's brother was quick to bring us extra heaters and the open fire kept us warm. The location is ideal for long walks on the beach and not far to go to local supermarket and restaurants. Highly recommended.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Bill's cottage It is an idyllic place! The cottage was clean and very comfortable, and we really did not want to leave. It has every convenience you could want or need. At the bottom of the garden is the Irish Sea, and every morning and evening Fritz and I would walk along the beach. The cottage was the perfect place from which to go sightseeing in Northern Ireland. Belfast was about 30 minutes, the Giant's Causeway 1.5 hours and about 1.5 hours for the Mourne Mountains. I would highly recommend staying here at any time of the year. We had perfect weather, but I still would have enjoyed our visit good weather or not. Bill's brother Karl took great care of us, coming to meet us when our GPS got confused and brought us to the vicinity of the cottage but not to it. He made sure we did not want for anything. Thanks you Bill and Karl for your wonderful hospitality!
Bill's cottage on the Irish Sea is a wonderful, peaceful play to stay. It is close enough to small coastal towns, yet very private. Quite proximate to Belfast if on your itinerary. The cottage was tidy and cozy, and hospitality was outstanding. I would plan to stay again on any future trip to Northern Ireland.
Wonderful, warm and cosy cottage far from the maddening crowd yet with WiFy. We had a great time walking or running down the almost deserted beach and just looking out at the sea. Somewhere to go back too. Thanks Bill to you and your brother Karl for making our stay such a wonderful experience
What a Fantastic location. The Front Garden leads right onto a sandy beach which stretches a mile or so in each direction.20 minute walk along the beach to the village of Ballywalter.
You can sit in the house and look out across the lawn to the sea beyond. Very restful. There is a Secluded large back garden.
The cottage itself was very cosy with a wood burning stove and central heating. It was nice and warm when we arrived. There was wood left for the stove. The beds were all made.
the decor is Stylish and uncluttered. There are 3 big comfy settees in front of the stove. 2 of them look brand new. The other is a bed settee. The cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped. All mod cons dishwasher, wifi, tv etc. lots of stuff looked new.
There are Two good sized carpeted comfy bedrooms one double one twin each with french doors with lovely views of woods at side of cottage. You can lie in bed and look into the woods.
Definitely worth the money.
Would definitely book again.
