I honestly could not rate this apartment (and host!) highly enough.
We'd been struggling to find affordable hotel accommodation in Oslo and decided to go for a rental. The apartment actually turned out to be one of the big highlights of the holiday.
This being Scandinavia, the design and layout were really cool, just really nice place to hang out. Eating out in Oslo can be expensive, so we made use of the kitchen/dining quite a bit. Windows open, sun streaming in, wine, a bit of laks... Perfect! :)
I've used Airbnb once before in NYC and a complete nightmare experience with the landlady for that rental - this was the absolute polar opposite. We had one small issue with the key when we arrived, Andreas helped us out immediately.
Highly recommended. In fact I might even come back! :)
we really enjoyed the stay at Andreas´ appartment. it is ideed nice and cozy and well eqipped. And we loved the Kampen neighbourhood!
After an afternoon at busy Aker Brygge it was really relaxing to come home.
Unfortunately we did not meet Andreas. But he organised everything perfectly well and was available via e-mail easily for any question we had.
The flat is very cute and located in a central area, which is its best asset; if you enjoy walking, then you can easily explore the city by foot. There is also a convenient bus going directly to the central station.
Our experience wasn't fully satisfying due to the fact that we didn't find the flat in a perfectly clean condition.
Andreas as a host and his apartment get five stars from me. *****
Andreas was really nice and welcomed me to his home right away when I came. I felt immediately that this place is my home for these days which I spend in Oslo. Bath and fireplace was just great and area is very nice and peaceful. And I can only say that the apartment of Andreas's was perfect for my staying here in Oslo. I will come back.
We stayed at Andreas' place for 4 days through New Years Eve and had the most wonderful time toasting in 2013 with reindeer steak and salmon cooked at home!
The apartment is wonderful and cozy. A fireplace stocked with wood, great CD's, Wi-Fi, bathtub and very comfortable bed. It is conveniently located a short walk from the T-Bane lines to Central Oslo and a few blocks from the Munch museum.
My wife was especially impressed with the immaculate taste of the interior design, it's warmth, and the perfect lighting. It far exceeded our expectations and we recommend it very highly.
Andreas was a great host and extremely helpful with local tips and suggestions.
Great flat ! Andreas gave us good info on city and warm welcome
