I was disappointed because I stayed only three nights in the Werner's apartment. There was everything you could need. The neighborhood is a plus, because is safe, quiet and nice, twenty minutes of walk from the center of the city. Good restaurants and the Gasteig are near the apartment. There is a train station 5 minutes walk to/from the airport, that is perfect because Munich airport is far from the city and taxi fare is expensive. Werner is very kind and happy to help the guest whatever is his need. Another good experience with Airbnb!
This was my first experience with airbnb, and it was a really positive one. Werner was a responsive and gracious host. He responded promptly to several email questions I had in the weeks prior to my arrival, and he was waiting for me as planned when I arrived. He patiently gave me a tour of the apartment -- most importantly, making sure I had the credentials to log onto his WiFi network! He also set up an English-language channel of CNN as a default on his cable TV for me. The apartment was clean and as advertised. I loved the location, as it was a very short walk to many great restaurants, cafes, pubs, museums, shopping and public transportation. I would stay there again.
I gave it a solid 4-star rating. The washing machine is in the basement and there is no dryer (which was consistent with the listing). Had the washer been in the apartment, along with a dryer, I would have provided a 5-star review.
Werner has a great flat in a really convenient location of Munich. Quiet neighborhood along the English garden with easy access to both S and U bahn. Pictures don't do justice to how large and spacious the flat is. Would definitely recommend and/or stay again.
