I was born in Milan, then I moved to Padua, where I studied Philosophy at University and attended a Drama School. For several years I have been working in theater and travelling a lot in Italy and abroad, with long stays in France and Japan. Now I live in Rome , I'm married to a journalist , we have a daughter. I still work as an actress, in film, television, theater, dubbing. I also translate and write... I love the seaside and Sardinia. I do not like crowded or hip places and I do not like typical holiday-home style. My Sardinian house, where I myself spend part of my holidays, is an authentic home, with family furniture, local crafts and some new necessary objects. It's not perfect , but I find it has a nice atmosphere. I assimilated Japanese aesthetic concepts of "wabi" and "sabi", referring to the charm of some old and simple objects . I love reading, and in my Sardinian house there is a large library (quite unusual for an holidays home), enriched by the legacies of foreign guests and therefore international. Even my CD collection - rather outdated , I know - it's in Sardinia. The garden is beautiful but wild: I admit I have not the slightest hint of a green thumb. I like to drink and eat well and in Sardinia it'is easy because local products are excellent. I make a limited use of technology and none of social networking (I feel bound to respond promptly to any message or request of friendship and that quickly lead me to saturation). Once my motto was "try everything at least once," now is more like a line of a Lucio Dalla's song , "... but the most extraordinary venture, listen to me, is being normal!"
