Sahara man showing foreigners the best of Morocco.
Beautiful Riad, jawad was very friendly and helpful. Was mostly only around when needed so felt like had place to ourselves. Decorated traditionally with a great sun terrace. Good location close to everything in the medina. Breakfast was basic coffee, bread, jam and orange juice but did the job.
We had a great time staying with Jawad, he was very helpful with infomation about Marrakesh The riad was lovely, clean, quiet and located well in the medina close to the spice market. Perfect for couples or families. Great stay in Marrakesh.
Great place (if rented in it's entirety) at a top spot in the Medina, 7 mins from the main square. Liked the modern feel. Although the pictures do not properly represent the current state of the property I would still recommend it to anyone. The pool/lounge area is ready for a thorough make over, I would say. But I especially loved the hammam! I wouldn't recommend it to those who would want to cook 'in' (the kitchen is too small), but then again, why would you cook at home with so many nice and affordable restaurants around you!
Jawad's riad was great! It was in really convenient location within the souks and only about a 5 minute walk to the main square. The riad itself was very small and private (about 4/5 rooms in total) which made it a great sanctuary from the craziness outside. There is a nice terrace for laying out in the day time and for the wonderful breakfasts in the morning. Jawad (email hidden), who was always available for tips on where to go in town and even offered us his wine and shisha pipe for use within the riad if we wanted. The room was clean and we always had hot water which was great. I would definitely stay there again!
Great (website hidden) is very nice and traditional + jawad very helpful.
le personnel est très agréable et très serviable. La cuisine y est excellente
La situation fait que le Ryad est dans un quartier bruyant ( de tôt le afin à tard le soir)
Our stay at Riad Essadaka was awesome! Jawad is a great guy and he and his girlfriend invited us with them a lot of times so we got to see a lot of cool places we perhaps wouldn't have seen on our own. The Pink room is beautiful and probably nice and cool in summer. The roof-terrace is very nice and sunny all day long. The whole Riad is very Moroccan, a style I like a lot! What you see in the pictures is what you get.
The breakfast is good, everyday we got croissants or pains au chocolat, some Moroccan bread, Moroccan pancakes, apricot and strawberry jam, tasty butter, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. The lady who arranged our breakfast everyday at our preferenced time was very kind and in for a little chat, we liked her a lot.
For arrival it's best to arrange a pick-up with Jawad somewhere (at the airport or the big square Jamaa el Fnaa for example), because the Riad is quite hard to find. It's good to know that the Riad is situated at Derb Aarjana 75, a bit different then noted on this site. The name of the Riad is Essadaka, some information that we didn't know before arrival and that made our search a bit harder.
The neighbourhood is fine and quiet, in the small streets of the centre of Marrakech. It's not located on a square, as one of the pictures may suggest, but the Souks are close by and to the big square it's not even a 10 minutes walk. Very close by is a Hammam that is good and not expensive, you'll walk past it any time you walk to or from the Riad. We had a nice scrub and massage there.
The souks around the Riad are very busy at all times and perfect to practice bargaining and saying 'no, thanks'! At night the deserted souks are being watched, we never felt unsafe or whatsoever.
We had a great time in Marrakech, also thanks to Jawad and his riad! I would definitely recommend his riad to my friends.
The riad was in a great location and super nice. Amina's breakfast on the terrace is the best way to start a day in Marrakesh! Jawad always kept in touch and made sure everything was alright.
Très beau riad, bien décoré avec une belle terrasse. Chambre un peu petite mais jolie avec un sale de bain impeccable. Calme. Jawad nous a super bien accueilli, nous a servi le thé et nous a donné 2-3 conseils sur la ville.
