We were made to feel very welcome. The apartment is in a great location, minutes from the main square and was the perfect place to base ourselves in Marrakech. It has a great roof terrace and super friendly staff. A+
Beautifully decorated Riad in the middle of the lively souks and at the same time really quiet. Short walking distance to Djema el Fnaa, good café bars and restaurants just around the corner. Jawad and his staff were all very friendly, they offered a warm welcome with tea, breakfast was very good (traditional) and served by a really kind woman whose name I don't know but whom I wanna greet here !
My wife and I celebrated the new year in Marrakesh and stayed with Jawad's family. We are glad we did. We truly felt like guests in his home, not as though we were renting a room from strangers.
Jawad met us in the main square and kindly showed us two ways to get to the house. It took about 10 minutes from Cafe France in the main square to get to the house. (10 enjoyable and lively minutes winding through the medina!)
We easily explored multiple museums and all major sites in Lonely Planet were within walking distance from Jawad's location. Jawad provided us with a very useful map of Marrakesh and pointed out some hidden gem locations on it.
The room and home were exactly as described in the pictures, even more spacious. The room is on the third floor. It had both heating and air conditioning that worked very well (we used the heating, it was late December). Breakfast was served on the 3rd floor terrace. Not a great view at the dining table itself, but we had access to higher "viewing terraces" that were unique and eye opening.
Breakfast was only 20 dirham per person. We highly recommend the freshly squeezed orange juice. Be aware that the large bed is two twins pushed together with sheets over the entire set. We knew this prior to arrival and we didn't mind too much, the bed itself was comfortable.
Jawad even provided shower sandals, warm slippers, and two sets of shower towels. He also had fresh shower bars of soap instead of used bars.
Thank you Jawad for a great stay!
Gentle guy and the lady serving the breakfast in the morning ...but in the winter time (13 / 6 degrees in december !) the house was to cold, wifi was slow and not always working, and you are at your own, no one is in the house during the day to take care of you or give informations that's why we changed to another place were we felt more taking care :(
There are many great things about this riad in Marrakesh- the room was clean, the rooftop terrace is great, and the riad is in a great location. Jawad was very helpful with the few bumps that we had. Apparently the room was double booked the first night so we stayed at another riad nearby. It was very nice as well, but we were expected to pay for the room before leaving switching back to the original riad. We ended up paying for our night before leaving as they seemed pretty upset that we didn't want to pay them. Jawad immeadiately refunded us this money so the problem was resolved.
It was overall a very nice stay and I would recommend it for people who want to stay close to the Medina.
Very highly recommended! This is an excellent Riad to stay at. It is very central and a few minutes walking distance to the main square. Perfect location. It is a beautifully decorated Riad in traditional style and it looks exactly like the photos. It is amazingly quiet being so close to the main square. The top deck area is a beautify spot to have breakfast which is made by Amina who is lovely. Jawad the manager is a really nice guy and is very helpful. We had the whole Riad to ourselves for the 5 days we were there. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you Jawad and Amina!
We are going back for the last two nights of our stay in Morocco. That is the biggest endorsement one can give a B&B. The Riad is ideally situated but is quiet especially at night. Jawed and his staff were extremely helpful. We arrived five hours late but were still meet with a smile at three in the morning. The Riad is clean with hot water for showering. We only made teas in the kitchen but it looked well equipped. Our room was quite small however there were plenty of places to sit comfortably for reading etc.
