Julie's place was great! It was exactly as described, and I appreciated her willingness to be flexible with the check-in time. I would absolutely stay here again.
As an aside, if you have a car, parking is a bit of a challenge, but there's a lot a block from the apartment that is only $9 for the day.
I stayed at Julie's apartment for one night. Everything was as "advertised". The apartment was very clean, warm, spacious, and is located in a great neighborhood.
I will definitely recommend Julie's studio, right in the heart of Philly, read my other more detailed review.
Julie's place was really good, I practically have the entire studio at my disposition, with a nice bathroom and a kitchen, so that I could cook some meals by myself. Julie was very nice and helpful, she left me a map of Philly and a lot of useful information about the city and transports. In addition, I had plenty of blankets, towels and even shampoo from her.
I especially recommend this studio for the position: right next to South street (plenty of restaurants), 15 minutes walk to the historical centre and you have a bus stop just next to the house !
This apartment was great. It was easy to find and a great neighborhood. I felt like I was in Georgetown, DC. Jule was really nice and helpful and even met me early.
This was my first airbnb experience and it was excellent. I will definitely do it again.
She was a very nice host! Although she was not there when I went to Philly, she prepared all maps and information about attractions and restaurants list for me. The air bed was really comfy and the room was warm enough.
Very nice and well-equipped apt - fantastic location, for locals or tourists. Julie was a gracious, responsive host and provided all the necessary information and amenities.
area is nice , place is clean and warm
The studio was perfect for one person. Just a stone's throw from south street with the restaurant's and people watching. A bus right outside that can take you up to center city where there is access to the excellent philadelphia public transportation. there is even a washer and dryer that one can use as well as a small kitchen for food prep.
Julie was very nice when she welcomed me into her home, which is the only time is saw her! Her apartment was very central you are in the center in 10/15 minutes, it was roomy enough to leave the air bed (which was surprisingly comfortable!) and still have room to "make yourself at home". My only comments would be that I found it quite cold (I stayed in November), a draft was coming under the front door and because the air bed is on the floor it makes a bee-line for you! I presume however this is not a problem in summer.
Julie and I have been close friends for almost a decade now and she is reliable and trustworthy. She has a fun personality and a knack for spontaneity. I stayed with her this winter holiday and her apartment is in a great area with much to do/shop/eat only a block or two away. She is a great host, neither overbearing nor ignorant and will work with you to meet your needs. Overall great apartment, private, low-key, good energy, great stay!
