Great place to stay if you enjoy living in the city. 5 min walk to Notre-Dame, 1 min walk to Maubert Mutualité metro station and easy access from CDG with RER B. There is a small bar just at the bottom but never been disturbed by the noise even when the window was open. The apartment was really clean, both the kitchen and the bathroom was new, we even got the coffeemaker, which was really cool. Hot water, not a problem at all. Really enjoyed to stay, the host was friendly and helpful since the the first day we booked.
I loved this apartment; it was even better than expected. Christophe has it set up with renters in mind, keeping it clean and uncluttered, providing mobile dressers for clothes, personal items, and so forth. Travelers from the US will appreciate the mounted shower head, which isn't in a lot of places. He obviously keeps the water heater turned up since having hot water for three consecutive showers was never a problem (again an issue in Paris, as water heaters are necessarily small). It's well-priced for what you get -- good space for a family and comfortable beds, and a great location in the center of the action and near several metro stops. As mentioned in some reviews, there is a bar downstairs that can get a bit noisy at night (especially during soccer games), but it didn't bother us at all -- in fact I think I'd prefer it to being in a quieter area, since I felt like we were part of the city, and a day in Paris leaves you able to sleep through anything anyway. Across the street there are several supermarkets, a bakery, a cheese place, a charcuterie place, and a wine shop.
In sum, I was extremely happy. I would normally not book the same place twice out of an interest in variety, but I think I would try to book here again if I return to Paris.
Ottima accoglienza, Carol molto gentile e disponibile e Christophe sempre raggiungibile per sms/ mail.
What a great place..loved it..highly recommended..small issue with the shower curtain and a little noisy at night with the bar downstairs however it didn't bother us..great (email hidden)ean and just as the pictures are...thank you so much..
The location is second to none being just of St Germain, a stone throw from Notre Dame and close to a selection of basic and medium priced restaurants. Transport is easy with a metro station effectively on the doorstep. There are no lifts and we stayed on the 3rd floor so it is hike with heavy bags. The apartment was clean and other than a little nighttime noise from the bar downstairs (and we were there for new year) it is quiet. The bed was ok for me and I am 194 cm.the kitchen had all you need although some proper coffee being left and some Tea and milk on arrival would help other than having to go to the shop ( there are two within 50 metres). I would recommend the apartment to couples with good mobility and not too light a sleeper
This was a lovely apartment in an amazing location, very close to train station and walking distance to most major attractions. The kitchen was quite well equipped and it was one of the few places we have stayed with a sharp kitchen knife. There was room for improvement, however. The lid on the electric kettle was broken and would fall in if you weren't very careful. The main bedroom has very poor lighting. Our daughters slept on the sofa bed and this window had no curtain so we had to erect a bed sheet. When we arrived it was explained with an apology that the towels were still in the machine from the previous guests and we would just need to remove then in a couple of hours and fold them. We were ok with this but the drying function of the machine did not appear to work and we were left with 8 very wet towels to dry by hanging around the apartment which left the apartment incredibly humid. And we had no dry towels for showers for 24hrs. Although Christophe was away during our stay he was reasonably responsive with emails. His replies were mostly in French, which is fine given we were in France, but just be aware of this, if like us, your French is limited. Our checkout instructions arrived via email several hours after we had checked out.
Despite this it was probably still worth it for the location.
It was a real pleasure to host Christophe, a guest really delicious and polite. He left the apartment in perfect condition. Really recommend Christophe to all. Hope to see him again. Francesca
